Located in the Western Ghats, Igatpuri is a tiny hill station that presents a splendid view in the monsoon season. Igatpuri embraces you with its cool climate and stunning landscapes. This hill station covers a large part of the Western Ghats and is situated at a height of 1900 feet above main sea level. The rugged terrain and dense forests add to the scenic view of this hill station. The entire hill station is surrounded by the high mountain peaks of the Sahyadri range, along with few forts. These mountain ranges are suitable for indulging in varied adventure activities like water sports and hiking.

List of things to carry: Good trekking shoes, Pullover, Poncho, Sunscreen lotion, Towel, Camera, extra pair of clothes. It is advisable to carry all your belongings in a backpack or tote bag. Please avoid trolley bag / suit case. Personal medicines and a haversack to put in all the things to be carried....so that one has ones hands free while trekking.
Nearest railway station to this venue is Kasara, from where pick up and drop can be arranged at an extra cost. Vehicle cost would be Rs. 2400. In one vehicle 10-12 pax can be accommodated. Time taken to reach the site from Kasara stn is around 30-40 mins. Vehicle can be arranged Ex Mumbai/Pune as per actual cost.
The best way to soak in the beauty of pristine nature is by observing more and keeping the conversation to a minimum, especially while trekking. That way you shall also be able to conserve your stamina.
