How did you discover Rick & Morty and what were your feelings when you first saw it?
Initially, I wasn't very keen on watching it. I wasn't a huge fan of Back To The Future, and I heard this might be the same. But people kept telling me to check it out, and I saw one episode. And instantly went OH MY GOD. It was perfect. Like that feeling you have when the Subway sandwich is exactly the way you want it? I felt that way when I saw the episode.
That feeling you have when the Subway sandwich is exactly the way you want it? I felt that way when I saw the (first Rick & Morty) episode.
And it's not a slow burn type of show, right? You know from the word go whether it's a show for you or not.
Exactly. I loved it and the thing with me is, if I like a show, I like nerding out about the show, reading about the creators and everything around the show.
If you were Rick, who would be your Morty, and what epic adventure would you go on?
Oh man, that's a tough one. Rick needs Morty only to clone. You know what I'd do? I'd go back in time and I'd make my own Morty using a Rick from a parallel dimension. So in a way I would be my own Morty. A good Rick.
Aside, I feel that if I were to ever take one of those 'Which Rick & Morty Character are You' quizzes on Facebook, I'd end up being either Morty or Jerry!
I would be Morty or Jerry!
Any favourite moments from the show?
Just way too many - but looking back, I think multiverse TV has got to be it. Each ad was so brilliant!
Favourite ad?
That has to be Two Brothers! Running from everything - what an episode that was.
One thing you'd say to a person who has never watched the show.
Three words: Just watch it. Doesn't matter what questions you have. Will I like it? Just watch it. Is it too weird? Just watch it. But what if... Doesn't matter. Just watch it. You'll get it. You'll know whether you like it or not.
Three words: Just watch it.
Since you said you nerd out over these things, any favourite fan theories?
Hmm, well I actually have my own theory: That this Rick is from another multiverse and he's come to this one to make it his own. He chose this because he could easily manipulate the family. Let's see if that turns out to be true!
