About the workshop: 

Acrylic Pouring as an abstract art technique started in the 1930s which uses the process of layering up paints in a cup and pouring it over canvas for exciting and unexpected results! The style is perfect to capture emotions, thoughts, and energies in movement through its play of colours and textures. Today acrylic pouring has picked up popularity all over the world and become a huge abstract trend! 

In this workshop, participants will learn - 

- the technical aspects of acrylic pouring 

- a couple of pour techniques

- to make home-made alternatives to the expensive store-bought materials, and 

- to make their own painting at home to adorn their shelves or walls.

Material required (Not Compulsory)

1. Acrylic paints

2. Pouring medium

3. Cups

4. Sticks

5. Canvas or mdf board

Kit Includes:

- A 8*8 inch stretched canvas

- 4 acrylic paint colors, premixed with professional pouring medium

- Silicon oil for texture

- Cups and sticks

- Instructions

About the artist: 

Surekha Sundaram is an acrylic and watercolor artist, and a mindfulness practitioner. She conducts workshops in art, mindfulness, and also takes an interest in organizing art-based events like flea markets and exhibitions driven by the purpose of making art more accessible to everyone.
