About the Event -

In an endeavor to give the young future generation of tomorrow a hands-on experience to be safe on the road, Growing Kids Preschool Daycare and Activity Centre Thane is organizing an Annual cycle-Cube-athon 2020, committed to the cause of producing leaders of tomorrow. And doesn't all of this begin with being safe on-road and sorted in the brain together?

We are glad to have the support of the on-road traffic police and the Police, to build up the trust in minds of our young adults, to be safe on the road, follow all traffic rules and emerge victoriously.

Growing Kids Preschool, Daycare and Activity Centre is pioneering in making children aware of Road Safety for themselves, save fuel for Healthy India, Fit India movement and for Fit Brain movement. We have partnered with Indian Cube Association to encourage brain health as well -- by using cubes to exercise the brain and inculcate a healthy habit. This will help in learning a new soft skill and also help to improve concentration, logical thinking, increase happiness quotient, eye-hand coordination, pressure point stimulation and works as an activity for both hemispheres of the brain.

The event is aiming to be a part of Guinness Book of World Records -- with your 100% participation and spread of awareness, we'll be able to reach maximum people who have registered as individuals, groups of 3, 6, 9, 15, 30, 60 or 90. You can register as a group with societies, schools, and corporate peers, pals and colleagues.

The highest number of entries from, society, school and corporate will have special mention on the day of the event and will be rewarded with a dedicated selfie point.

Since 2015, we have encouraged more than 2500 cyclists and in 2018, we organized the marathon at 6 Locations Including Thane, R Mall Mulund, RCity Ghatkopar, Borivali, Charkop and Kharghar. We are based in Thane, Ghodbunder Road.

Compulsory Safety Instructions

1. Cycle (any cycle that participant is comfortable with, with bell and headlights and taillights preferable)
2. Helmet
3. Velcro shoes
4. Track pants only
5. Safety guards (if a participant wants to wear)
6. Waist pouch (to carry cube and band-aids, cotton balls, Savlon provided by organizer)
7. The material provided by the organizer.
8. Write parents' phone numbers on both hands of the cyclist and cubist.

Rules and Regulations:-

1. ID proof is mandatory (Aadhar card/ school ID card/ school almanac) at the time of bib and material collection.
2. Please carry your ticket on the day of the event.
3. Registrations once complete cannot be cancelled/transferred.
4. At the time of registration please check t-shirt size of the participant.
5. If it is a group registration, ensure collection of material as a group, preferably by one person.
6. No reminders will be given from organizer.
7. Kindly be there by reporting time. The event will start on time and end on time. If you happen to miss the event due to any reason or circumstances, organizer is not held responsible to refund and will not be entertaining any conversation for the same.
8. The event is going to be held early morning, it is expected that participant is well-rested, is well adjusted to being in the dark till sunrise and is comfortable with large crowds as other cyclists and cubists will also be present for the event.
9. Pre-existing road conditions are not going to be accounted for. There is a chance of last moment potholes and minor degradation of the roads and some/few of the streetlight non functioning . Organizer only accounts for first-aid already provided with kit that participant is expected to carry along on the day of the event.
10. Participant is expected to treat the marathon as a learning experience and NOT a race. No speeding, disorderly behavior will be tolerated or taken responsibility for. (Disorderly behavior = teasing, pushing, pulling, ragging, nagging, shouting, yelling, breaking rules, breaking traffic rules, not obeying volunteers). If they are found to not follow any of these then medal for completion of cycling route and certificate ( INDIAN CUBE ASSOCIATION ) for completion of cube solved will not be awarded; as the aim is to follow all rules of the game and completing it always and having the spirit of sportsmanship.
11. PROMOTION HERE IS EQUALITY WITH HEALTHY MIND,HEALTHY BODY
12. Parents are responsible for the participation of the participant. If participant is unwilling, the event organizer bears no responsibility under any circumstances or mishaps on day of event or liable to pay any dues.
13. Parents are advised to be on the sidelines or near the finish lines but not on the cyclists’ path and in cubists’ space.
14. You agree and have read all the instructions and understood that it is parent’s and participant’s accountability to present themselves in front of jury members and pick up my chest number and my other things. The organizer will not be making any other arrangements for the same and any requests will not be entertained once the time slot is over. Please make alternative arrangements at your level to pick up the chest number and other material.
15. All accolades will be provided on the day of event only if participant is present and has participated and abide by the rules. Later collection of certificate and medal will not be allowed.
16. Please ensure child is present for the cube training at the respective time slot.
17. Participant might receive a call from the sponsors.
18. Participants will be participating in a pre-marathon practice session to ensure no mishaps and misunderstanding on the day of the event. Participants will be taught cycle management and self-management on the road.

24. Parents accountability to make sure cyclist are well guided and practice to follow rules of traffic to be followed on Marathon track which they are going to ride on the day of event which is only once.
25. Under Any circumstances, organizers will not be held responsible for any mishap on the track during the event or after the event. However from organizers all safety and security measures are taken care.
