Artifice is an original psycholigical-dark comedy that unfolds the winding road of struggles a "true" artist goes through. It revolves around the unfairness of society and how an artist is in perpetual turmoil waiting for his work to be recognized.   

The play rips open the truth about how undeserving people get recognition while the true artists suffer and how fake encouragements have surfaced countless pseudo-artists. 

After years of struggle and witnessing undeserving pseudos rise to the top, the artist finally receives a letter that changes everything. 

Dissect the layers of humor, metaphors, and philosophy to explore how the journey of the artist takes its course.

Sandeep Tadi

An eternal dreamer, who always pushes himself to achieve the impossible. Sandeep's journey with theatre began in 2014, after a weekend workshop with Samahaara, he realized this was the best place to find like-minded people and good actors. After working on numerous productions with Samahaara, he directed his first play (Charley's Aunt) under his co-founded banner Storyboard Productions. Since then he directed many plays such as A Streetcar Named Desire, Table Manners, God of Carnage, Good Answer, Ande Ke Chilke, Jambu Dweepam and The Physicists. His true purpose is to pave the way for the many aspirants who wish to tell their own tales by giving them a platform and adequate opportunities.

Amaan Ahmad

Syed Amaan Ahmad is a writer, artist, director and philosopher. He is the founder of The Unknown Pen.

Writing has been his passion since he was old enough to hold a pencil. He has directed and written several original theatre plays. Amaan has also written and directed a short film 'Carnitapu' which has won many International Film awards. He has also directed an experimental feature film 'The Oblivion' which is currently in post production. Amaan's work is mainly dark and philosophical. He applies the elements of surrealism, symbolism, and absurdism to his works. In addition to writing poems, stories, scripts and screenplays, Amaan is also a painter and a sketch artist. His style is abstract expressionism.

Vishal Saxena is a trained and passionate actor for over 10 years now in Theatre, Films, TV, Short films and Ads. He has worked in movies ''Yeh Hai Bakrapur'', ''Dimple'', ''Maharshi'', ''Falak''. Worked in TV in ''Mere Sai'' with Sony Television and have done Ads ''ISABION'' with Hoopla Advertising. He has been doing theatre since 2010 across India and performed in ''Khidkiyaan Festival''. Mumbai with Mukesh Chhabra Casting Co. : Vishal has great command over Hindi language.

Madhu Swaminath

A trained Bharatnatyam dancer and an accomplished actress, a regular member of the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation repertory cast, Madhu Swaminath is best known for the title role in 'Taramati - The Legend of an Artist' in the Foundation's critically-acclaimed theatre spectacle. Her other dynamic performances include key roles in 'Resham ki Dor', 'His Exalted Highness', 'Ekaanth', 'Quli: Dilon la Shahzaada' and 'Spaces'. Her range comprises the melancholic dancer-singer Taramati, the feisty Shahzaadi in 'Spaces' to the sober Dr. Susheela Nayyar in 'Kasturba'. She has been a part of Torn Curtains productions as well.

Pooja Singhvi

Being amused with the fact of how one face can depict many lives, her interest in this art began while she was working as an engineer. It's been 5 years since then that she pursued her career in acting. She played as the lead in several projects like some million views, fetched short films, commercial and internal ads, web series, hoarding shoots and album songs. She is a stage artist as well. She is enjoying this journey so far and keen on looking forward to unveiling and learning this art of acting ahead.

Nehha Surana Bhandari

Nehha Surana Bhandari, Masters in psychology and a passionate oil painter, writer, blogger and a theatre artist. She has represented the state of Telengana at the national platform of Mrs India Earth 2017, held in New Delhi, and also won the title of Mrs Stylish Diva. A mother of two and a budding poet. She has Worked with Udaan Performing Arts for a Hindi street play on Women empowerment, Performed a monologue (Hindi) on acid attack victim at Nritya Foundation, Hyderabad. Published a book , an anthology of short stories (Hindi & English) by the name Under the Sun in 2020. She was a voice over Artist for YouTube channel Acos teller. She was also a jury member on Mrs. Telangana 2018. Beside this she has some commercials to her name.

Annaida Annaida

Annaida is an actor from Hyderabad who started her career under the guidance of Amaan Ahmad. She has won several International Awards for the best Actress in the short film Carnitapu. She has done many theatrical plays such as Skepticism, Badlav, Lishdish, TM-Potle, etc. Annaida has also played the lead in an experimental feature film - The Oblivion, which is currently in the post production.

Aishwarya Thakur is a Poet, Actor, Storyteller, A work in progress.
