Arc Educators brings to you a unique opportunity to learn all these cool stuffs from not only an experienced astrophographer but also an astrophysicist by profession. 

This workshop is just everything you’ll want to know about the wonderful world of astrophotography !! We’ve gathered tips from the pros, optimal camera settings, and some breathtaking examples to educate and inspire you to look up at the sky.

Astronomy is a natural science in which we learn about celestial objects. To promote this emerging field astronomy and space science,ARC Educators have come up with an interesting programs which will focus on both observational and theoretical part of astronomy.

Astrophotography Workshop (beginner level)

What you will learn from this workshop ?

1) Basic of astrophotography 

2) Capturing Milky way  

3) Star Trails 

4) Astro Time-lapse

5) Eclipse photography

6) Image processing using softwares.  

Sessions will be very interesting and engaging with small tasks given to the learners.

session 1 | 2nd May 2021 | 10 am to 12 pm 

session 2 | 2nd May 2021 | 2 pm to 4 pm 

session 3 | 9th May 2021 | 10 am to 12 pm

Astrophotography expert : Dr. Vinita Navalkar (PhD in X-ray Astronomy Instrumentation)

Dr. Vinita Navalkar completed her MSc in Physics from University of Mumbai in 2010

Project Assistant ( 2010-2011) - Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education,Mumbai

Research Fellow ( 2011-2018)- Tata Institute of Fundamental Research 

Research Associate ( 2018-2021) - Center for Excellence in Basic sciences
