The Space & Monika have designed this session to create an atmosphere for new mums to combine the well-being of their own and their baby’s without feeling the need to choose between the two. Monika will help you begin your recovery from birthing, both natural and Caesarean, by regaining strength, energy and flexibility, incorporating and partnering with baby where possible or necessary.

This session will include an hour of gentle exercises, yoga asanas and stretches to alleviate tension in the upper back from holding and feeding the baby, strengthen the weakened abdomen and the pelvic floor. Enjoy an intimate tea party presented by The Chaiwali & Skinny Bakes while your babies snooze in a cozy corner created by Tura Turi’s baby safe products. Share special moments with your baby as they discover their bodies and their surroundings while interacting with new people and revive your mind in our Space to relax and breathe.

Suitability:

• This session is suitable for postpartum mums from 2 to 10 months.
• Babies from 8 weeks and not actively crawling are welcomed.

Special Instructions:

• Please carry your baby carrier along. If you do not have a carrier, please let us know in advance.
• Please carry blankets for the babies to lie on, if needed
• You are free to bring noiseless toys, if you baby has a favourite one

Terms:

• We do not permit single use plastics at The Space. Please don't carry such items with you. Water is available for all at The Space.
• This ticket cannot be cancelled and is non refundable, (but can be transferred to another person for the same session itself)

Facilitators:

With over 10 years of yoga practice and 6 years of teaching experience in London and Mumbai, Monika Pawlowska- Gandhi offers a holistic and in-depth approach to yoga, focusing on healing and creating space in the body, wholesome alignment and self-awareness.

She studied Classical Yoga in The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, and continued her training in Rishikesh’s Shiva Yoga Peeth in the style of Ashtanga Vinyasa. She practiced with some of the most senior teachers in London and trained in Yin Yoga, Somatic Movement, as well as Thai Yoga Massage.

She doesn’t believe in “one fits all” principle, and always tries to understand her students’ needs and body type in order to adjust the practice to them, and not vice versa! Monika has recently become a mom for the first time. She had practiced and taught throughout the pregnancy and now she also conducts mom and baby classes, alongside her baby daughter Athena.
