Jog Falls:

The second-highest plunge waterfall in India, these magnificent falls are a major tourist attraction in Karnataka, the spellbinding view of which creates a truly memorable experience.

Located on the border of Shimoga and Uttara Kannada districts of Karnataka, Jog waterfall is the highest waterfall In the state and is regularly mistaken as the highest waterfalls of India. Also known as Gerosappa Falls or the Joga Falls, these falls are one of the most important attractions in all of South India. Second only to the Nohkalikai Falls of Meghalaya, Jog falls drops about a huge 253 m (850 ft. ) in a single fall.

Murudeshwar:

A worthwhile stopover, Murudeshwar is a beachside pilgrimage town. It’s most notable for its colossal seashore statue of Lord Shiva, which sits directly on the shore overlooking the Arabian Sea, making for spectacular photo ops. For the best views, take the lift 18 storeys to the top of the skyscraper-like Shri Murudeshwar temple.

Itinerary:

Day 1 (Friday):

• Catch 9 pm Bus from Pune in Semi-Sleeper Volvo bus.

• Overnight in Bus.

Day 2 (Saturday):

• Reach Kumta by 5:30 am and get into bus for jog falls. Enjoy the scenic drive through ghats. We will take breaks for breakfast, photography at hanging bridge etc.

• Reach Jog falls by 9:30 am and enjoy the scenery till afternoon. • • • Reach homestay and have Lunch.

• Visit the Padmavati temple around 4pm located deep inside the forest.

• In the evening, we will enjoy the light and music show

• Overnight at homestay. Have dinner and masti.

Day 3 (Sunday):

• Get up early if you want to enjoy the morning mist of the Sharavathi region. We can go for walk around the village and explore the unseen trails.

• Have breakfast and then bid goodbye to our caretakers.

• Reach Murudeshwara by 11:30 am and see the second tallest statue of Lord Shiva. It looks magnificent with the roaring sea in background.

• Post Lunch, we will explore temple town till evening and catch a bus back to Pune by 6 pm.

Day 4 (Monday):

• Reach Pune by 6 am.
