BandCamp Presents: Music Under The Stars
BandCamp Season 4 is ON!
Music Nights at BandCamp is our own little way of taking you out of the city hustle on a Saturday night and experience great live music in the middle of nature. There is a naturally sculpted amphitheater at the campsite that serves as the perfect spot to lay back and count stars while listening to the bands play your favorite tunes. The music ranges from indie, blues, to rock and pop.
There will also be bonfires, a barbeque, long walks, and some great food! The campsite has huge grounds and we’ve added hammocks, books, and games to ensure that there is something for everyone.
About the Site
Formed out of a random jam that’s 25 years in the making. Soans and Sons, at its core, is just about friends (and family) coming together to chill... and, probably, make some music.
"Banat and Shrikant met at a gig in 2015. After finding out that they had similar musical tastes and shared preferences in terms of favourite artists and genres, they started working on Banat’s original songs. Shrikant produced Banat’s first ever single titled “Moon” which met with an overwhelming response, with features from Rolling Stone, FilterCopy, DailySocial and Free Press Journal. Having grown up in a traditional Punjabi household, Banat had been listening to an array of Punjabi folk music. A shift from her usual music style, recent chain of circumstances pushed her to go back to her roots and rediscover her art. As she embraced her culture she carved another alcove of experience which has intensified her range as an artist. With a number of gigs coming their way, the two decided to start performing together as an acoustic duo. With Banat on vocals and guitars and Shrikant on guitars and backing vocals they have performed several shows in and around Mumbai, playing a mix of originals and covers ranging from ‘70s Rock ‘n’ Roll to ‘90s Pop, which is also inclusive of Punjabi Folk. Their sets are usually intertwined with a lot of storytelling, talking about their experiences and humor, which generally involves Banat ridiculing Shrikant’s jokes."
