Be Good, a social community, is curating a fundraiser with artists and musicians to supplement the social community’s efforts to raise funds and also draw the attention to the tier 2 towns, in the north east part of India, that are feeling the aftermath of the Covid Wave 2.

About the Cause:

Care for Manipur (CFM) a group of people from diverse communities, professions and geographies who deeply care for Manipur, has grown into a not-for-profit group, and, at present, is engaged in working for Covid Relief.

CFM has come together to help save lives during this pandemic by providing medical supplies and monetary aid in line with the guidelines laid by the state authorities and recommendations from the stakeholders.

We aim to raise INR 1 Crore by 10 July 2021 to meet the following objectives and more: Delivering Oxygen Concentrators, Oxygen Cylinders and other Medical Equipment; and setting up ICU Beds required for the Covid affected in the state.

Anoushka Maskey

C.E.A.S.E is a fictional narrative of an apocalyptic world. The subtle narrative of the EP focuses on environmental issues in the real world, amplifying it to a complete collapse. Through the portrayal of a complacent protagonist, the EP draws focus on humankind’s sorry dispositions, in that no matter what we do, nothing can save us from the doom we built for ourselves.

Her third release, 'September Embers' is a single. The song is for and about people who make a habit of constantly giving, despite it being at the cost of their own wellbeing. Inspired primarily by her mother, this song stems from the desperate feeling of wanting to help these people out of their situation, shake them, and make them realize that while "maybe all the sacrifices will come down as rain/ pour over the drought that stretches over this terrain" they need to "recognize a landslide building" and learn to prioritize themself and not make a habit of getting trampled on.

Anoushka's sound, as well as songwriting, connotes a warm, almost nostalgic feel. With her roots set in folk music and a fondness for storytelling, you will find her work stylistic of the two.

Taking inspiration from the folk sounds of the Himalayas, his music is reminiscent of tunes and melodies long forgotten in the space of time.

In the beginning of 2013, a song spread across the Internet like wildfire. Not surprisingly, it was titled ‘Wildfire/Dadhelo’. The response from the listeners and the rate at which the song ended up on everyone's playlist laid the foundation for the EP "Sketches of Darjeeling', released in July 2014.

Recorded between 2013-14, the album is a collection of songs inspired by life around the hills of Darjeeling, a small town that sits on the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. Harmonically blending Nepali folk music with contemporary western musical elements, the songs have the rare quality of touching the pahari heart and transporting the listener to the land where the songs were born.
