How do you deal with stress?
Join us on this wonderful journey of learning about your body through dance. In this workshop find out how Bellydance can be an effective way to relieve stress. A lot of stress related negative emotions become stored along our spine and in the backs of the legs. Spinal articulations of bellydance and balancing exercises help free up the spine and strengthen the supporting muscles. The graceful movements of this dance form utilize muscle groups in the abdomen, pelvis, trunk, spine, and neck, which all help to build a powerful core.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Kavya Viswanathan is the founder of Martiya dance community, a Bellydance school in Bangalore. Established in 2013, over the years this dance school has become a safe place for women to express, heal, evolve and grow in a non judgemental environment. Kavya started dancing professionally in 2008 and teaching in 2010. . Since then she travelled the world, learning and collaborating with dancers. An avid Yoga practitioner, she has been trained in a multitude of dances from contemporary, jazz, ballet, Odissi, bharatnatyam and Flamenco."
