This event is the first of Florartica 2021 series, where The Circular Square in collaboration with expert naturalists and nature artists, will bring to you a series of workshops and knowledge sharing sessions to understand and connect with nature like never before.
In this session, join Vijay Thiruvady, where he takes you through Bangalore's environment history while introducing you to Botanical Art.
You will learn about the history of botanical art along the Malabar, Konkan coast and erstwhile Mysore state. Not just how it all started in these areas, but also why it was used widely.
All you need for this session is an internet connection, a notebook and pen, to make any notes. The event is open and relevant to all age groups.

About speaker:
Vijay Thiruvady has been associated with BANGALORE WALKS since last 16 years, wherein he has been actively conducting Green Heritage Walks at Lalbagh Botanical Gardens (http://www.bangalorewalks.com/index.html). He and his group have conducted more than 750 walks covering Bangalore heritage, for 15000+ people so far. Vijay is also a Trustee of The Bangalore Heritage Trust, which has published a number of books “ Heritage Trees”, “Devarakadus & Gudutopus” and recently “ Lalbag: Sultan’s Garden to Public Park”.
Please note that The Bangalore Nature art group is also running an Art competition with the theme of nature. Art works selected from this competition by judges, will make it into Diaries/planners by Bangalore Nature art group.
