About the Event
Benny Dayal is an Indian singer who was originally from Abu Dhabi. He was spotted by A. R. Rahman and went on to make his debut by singing for the music maestro in a Tamil film. He rose to fame in 2008 with the megahit Pappu Can't Dance Saala from the movie Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
Since then, Benny has sung for countless Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu songs. He has worked with the top music directors in Bollywood including Amit Trivedi, Salim - Sulaiman and Vishal - Shekhar. Some of his biggest hits include Badtameez Dil from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) The Disco Song from Student of the Year (2012) and Tujh Pe Fida from Heroine (2012).
FunktuaTion came to life in November 2011. The line-up includes Benny Dayal on Vocals backed by Joshua Satya (Guitar), Carl Fernandez (Bass), Alok Merwin (Keyboards), David Joseph (Drums) and Toby Joseph (Sound Engineer). Together, they produce and perform distilled, intense music with a dash of Funk!
