We warmly invite you to Bhoomi Yugaantar Festival: Celebrating Nature, Culture and Communities that Care, a three-day festival from the 24th to 26th December 2022 to be held at the Bhoomi College-Prakriya School Campus, Bengaluru. The festival will see a host of musicians and artists, sustainability practitioners and holistic educators enable the building of local communities of care.
Concert Artists
24th December
Thodur Madabusi Krishna is an Indian Carnatic vocalist, writer, activist, author and Ramon Magsaysay awardee. As a vocalist, he has made a large number of innovations in both the style and substance of his concerts.
Sangeetha Sivakumar is among the most respected musicians in the field of Carnatic music. She has been regularly performing in various organisations all over India and abroad, and in the prestigious December music festival conducted in Chennai every year.
25th December
Vasu Dixit Collective (VDC) is an ensemble of like-minded musicians and artists, whose collaboration blends musicianship, creativity and tradition. They seek to inspire community and compassion through music
made together.
26th December
Shri Bhutte Khan, the founder of Dharohar Folklore Institute, Barmer, Rajasthan and his team will take us on a journey of traditional Rajasthani folk music. The folk instruments played by the musicians are Khartal, Kamaicha, Dholak, Morchang, Harmonium and the Algoza.
With plenary talks by Devinder Sharma (leading agriculture and food policy expert), Prof. Sultan Ismail (renowned soil biologist and ecologist), Sridhar R (environmental activist and safe food campaigner); activities including traditional games and healthy food workshops; film screenings on climate action; reading circles and more, the festival promises to be an exciting space to experience, engage and express!
Over 60 Workshops by leading personalities in sustainability, education and art
Workshops on education and sustainability, nature, music, body movement, theatre, arts and crafts, emotional well-being, and community-building will be held over the three days. The workshops will be helmed by leaders in sustainability, education, conservation, and art. Here are some of the workshops that are in store for you:

- Exploring Panchamahabhootas by Radha Ravi and Manjula Rao
- Songwriting Workshop by Vasu Dixit
- Janala - A window into Tagore and Nature by Ishita Bose and Rema Kumar
- Flow game for Sustainability by Rahul Hasija
- Let's spin! - Spinning workshop by KJ Sachidananda and Abhilash
- Wilderness Card Game and Insect Walk at Bhoomi by Yuvan Aves
- Herbs and Natural Healing by Parvathi Nagarajan
- Youth movements and building solidarity by Abhishek Thakore and Adil Basha
- Hero’s Journey by Rema Kumar and Farah Khan

Launching of Microgrants for Youth-led Eco projects
At the festival, join us for the launch of Yugaantar: Seeds of Change!
Seeds of Change is a safe, supportive and vibrant space for budding eco-entrepreneurs and change makers in the age group of 18-29 years. Eco-entrepreneurs are invited to share their dream project ideas in sustainability and holistic education with the community.
The categories include building eco-communities, crafts and livelihoods, traditional food and regenerative farming, nature studies and holistic education.
The eco-entrepreneurs stand a chance to win microgrants of Rs 25,000 to go fund their projects! Further, the eco-entrepreneurs will become a part of an enabling environment where the community offers and receives gifts and collaborates to co-create possibilities for planetary good.

Festival Entry pass (for all three days): INR 500*
*Entry fee includes access to all workshops, talks and performances. Food not included.
