About the Restaurant

A very well known nouvelle Japanese restaurant, Kofuku regularly hosts a healthy mix of local foodies and expats. The restaurant ticks off all the hallmarks from ‘The Land of the Rising Sun’ - greetings with ‘Irrashaimase’, immaculate wooden interiors, simple yet traditional decor, tatami floor seating as well as conventional dining tables and soothing music playing in the background. A truly authentic experience brought to you from Japan to Mumbai.

About the Chef

Chef James Biaka is responsible for curating the deliciously authentic Japanese menu at Kofuku. Chef James originated from Mizoram and started his career in 1996 as a waiter in a Japanese restaurant, Dahlia in Chennai. After years of working with award winning Japanese restaurants around the country he was instrumental in the inception of Kofuku in 2012. Kofuku means happiness and Chef James strongly believes in spreading happiness through his food.
