About the Event
Dhruv Deshpande
Dhruv Deshpande is a 22-year-old man who wants make a living out of being funny. Call it utopian or plain lazy, he may actually be getting there. Between Comedy Central TV shows and Buzzfeed features, Dhruv is somewhat of a celebrity. But living in Thane imposes a healthy dose of modesty on him. Performing stand-up for over two years now, Dhruv's talent (if we can call it that) has been widely recognized and he has performed at all major venues and the biggest comedy festivals. His material ranges from break-ups to Shakespeare and his uncombed hair is his back-up, in case the jokes don't sink in. He has also written for radio shows, corporate events and IIFA Awards because money is a necessary evil. Having just finished his last year of studies, Dhruv has already given up on education, he is smart that way, you will see...
Angad singh ranyal
The thinnest sardar alive, born and brought up in Libya, and hence culturally confused. He also holds the world record for being the millionth Indian to opt for MBA after completing his engineering. A marketing major who keeps his sanity intact by making fun of everything and anything, including himself. Sarcasm runs in his blood, that's Angad Singh Ranyal for you.
Dhaval Dattar
New to the scene, Dhaval is now working his way out of the open mic scene towards more open spots and featured shows. Winner of Come Grand Slam #8 by Ratatouille.
Kunal Rao
Kunal Rao is a retired Chartered Accountant who quit(!) his job during the recession to pursue his passion for comedy. Since he started in 2009, Kunal has quickly risen to the top 10 comedians of India, performing in 18 cities in India. His international career includes Nepal, Sri Lanka, Dubai and his aunt's living room in south Mumbai.
Saurav Mehta
Saurav Mehta, is a popular Stand-up comedian and has performed at many events like My Baby Thinks I'm Funny with Sorabh Pant
Rohan Desai
Rohan 'Danger' Desai is a college drop out without a tech start-up or even a MacBook. But he has a compulsive need for creative expression through any medium (preferably legal). His stand-up is variously described as unique, surreal and what-the-f*ck-was-that?
His alter-ago 'International Comedy Star Rohan Desai' has won the Melbourne Comedy Festival and performed twice down under to widespread acclaim. But that is more urban legend than artist profile material. But hey, how many college dropouts get to have an alter-ego, right?
Siddharth Dudeja
Siddharth Dudeja is a 23-year-old graduate on a perpetual sabbatical. Between writing projects and trips to space, Duds also delivers flashes of brilliance on stage. Having performed at major festivals and also as a part of 'The best in Stand-up' he is trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his sabbatical. Siddharth talks about how school and vegetarians ruined his childhood and sometimes he talks about world peace.
Prashasti Singh
Prashasti Singh, works in the corporate world as a marketing manager and lets go of all that when she is on stage! She recently won FemaPalooza and COME Grand Slam #4. A girl from a small town living the dream of the big city, looking for the dreamy part.
Aditi Mittal
Aditi Mittal is one of the top ten comics in the country and the girl Alok Nath warned his daughters about. After all the features in print, web, radio and television including BBC World and BBC America, there are very adjectives left unused in describing Mittal's brand of stand-up. Her comedy like her career choices are very Kamikaze but people still line-up for her shows and later remark 'Did She Just Say That?'
As a regular feature at the biggest venues and comedy festivals across the country and the first Indian comedian to have performed at The Laugh Facory in Los Angeles, Aditi is doing something right and has made us believe Bad Girls will one day save the world
