Camp Cardamom is a summer program for young people conducted in partnership with the University of Oxford. Housed in a spacious lodge on a 100-acre organic farm in the cool and pristine Marayoor Valley of Kerala, the camp offers a wide range of arts, cultural and outdoor adventure activities, along with talks led by a visiting University of Oxford senior lecturer who is an expert in Indian history and culture. In May and June 2019 we will provide drop-off sessions of a week or more for children and teenagers, and select sessions for groups and families. Registration is limited to 40 students per week.

Activities include:

  • Kalaripayattu martial arts taught by a national medal winner
  • Swimming taught by a national medal winner
  • Bharatanatyam dance
  • Tabla drumming
  • Treks in Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary and Anamundi Shola National Park led by our resident naturalist and wildlife biologist
  • Boating on our pond in our traditional vallams
  • Rock climbing classes led by certified experts
