You've got your ticket! You're all excited! But let's face it, life (or deadlines, or impromptu travel plans) happens. But don't worry, Insider.In's got your back. Read on.
What is Cancellation Protect?
Simply put, it's an add-on, that gives you the flexibility to cancel the ticket you've purchased for select Insider.in events, upto several days before the date of the event. You will get the full amount of your ticket (you read that right!) back, within 5-12 working days.
Please note, when you choose to cancel your order, all items in the order will get cancelled - including any F&B items you might have purchased. Partial cancellation (cancelling one ticket out of two, for instance) is not possible - you will be required to cancel both and re-book.
Exact Cancellation Protect details will vary from event to event: So make sure you read up on specifics!
What Cancellation Protect covers
Cancellation Protect covers the following charges in your order:
- The full ticket price of the tickets purchased as part of your order.
- The full value of any F&B that was part of your order.
- The shipping charges applied, in case you had opted for ‘delivery'.
What Cancellation Protect does not cover
- The Cancellation Protect fee itself
- Convenience fee that was charged on your order
How it works
1] When you're buying your ticket, you will be asked if you'd like to add Cancellation Protect to your order, as below.
If you don't see this, you might be viewing an event that is not eligible for Cancellation Protect.
2] The Cancellation Protect fee gets added to your order. Check out as you'd normally do. You will get confirmation of Cancellation Protect in your email.
3] When you need to cancel your ticket (alas!), just head to your profile on the website or app, and find the event you're looking to cancel. You should see a 'Cancel Ticket' option. Click!
4] A cancellation confirmation screen shows you what's being cancelled, and how much will be refunded to you. Once you hit cancel, you'll receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter that and you're done!
Frequently Asked Questions
How much in advance can I cancel my ticket?
Varies from event to event, but this should be around 10 days for major sporting events.
I don't see the 'Cancel' option on my ticket, in my profile!
This could be because:
- You didn't buy Cancellation Protect - confirm this in your e-ticket
- Your ticket's already been shipped. If you've bought Cancellation Protect, your tickets will be shipped only after the window has closed, don't worry.
I bought a ticket without Cancellation Protect. Can I add it on later?
Unfortunately, no.
I bought several tickets - can I cancel just one ticket in my order?
Unfortunately, no. If you cancel an order, every item in it - all tickets and F&B items - will get cancelled.
I cancelled my ticket, and need to un-cancel them!
Sadly, we can't reverse a cancellation - you will need to book afresh.
I've cancelled my ticket. How long till I get my money back?
Depending on your payment mode and operator (wallet / bank), it could take anywhere from 5-12 working days.
