Very rarely you get the chance to laugh your guts out and help a cause at the same time. The CHUCKLE FIESTA, a stand-up comedy show is all about that. Featuring some very talented stand-up artists, this show aims to donate a part of the proceeds from the gig.

Artists:

Abijit Ganguly: Abijit Ganguly has been performing as a Stand-Up Comedian for over four years now, and is presently over 1000+ shows old (stage shows, pub gigs, college shows and corporate gigs). His humour is essentially anything and everything he finds funny, be it stereotype observations, alcoholism, office experience, student life, relationships, parties, Bengali-Punjabi tussle, beggars, Facebook, societal problems, middle-class life, etc.

Mostly, his sets are observation-fuelled anecdotes and he relies on audience relating to what they hear in order to get the laughs. Abijit has performed extensively in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Calcutta, Pune, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Indore, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, etc.

Mandar Bhide: Mandar Bhide is an engineer, an MBA, a Sales Manager and is married. Being married naturally qualifies him to speak to total strangers, who laugh at him more than his jokes. He sells chocolates for a living but ends up eating more than what he sells. He also has the reputation of being the most left-swiped guy on Tinder.

Pavitra Shetty: Pavitra Shetty or 'Pavvy' as she prefers to be called for reasons of social acceptance is an engineer, infrequent gym-goer and hamburger enthusiast - all redeeming qualities for the average lukha. She just happens to be a girl. In her sporadic affairs with stand up comedy, Pavitra has floored audiences with her funny stories and crisp delivery. She has also won the Comedy Store Open Mic last year against 20 guys who badly need to get a job (or a life). Her stand up covers football, sibling rivalries, and not being a size zero, which are all issues of national importance. Her signature finishing move is the Bear hug and her favourite quote is "Whatevah!"

Adhiraj Singh: Adhiraj is a writer and a stand-up comedian based in Mumbai. He has a wife, and a cat, and a diary full of jokes. He has performed at the NCPA, Stage 42, and at various venues across Mumbai, but you still won't remember him. In his spare time, he likes to read graphic novels and watch foreign films to feel cool.

Urooj Ashfaq: Urooj is a 21-year-old comedian who talks about psychopaths, waxing and tattoos. Her greatest regret is that she’ll never be smart enough to be an astronaut.

Rohan Parekh: Rohan Parekh is an engineer because a good degree will ensure a good dowry. His jokes don't seem to become the topic of national debate, but he's getting there. He has been performing at premier venues like Canvas Laugh Club and NCPA and has also done shows in Singapore. His uncanny preferences in life mean that everything he likes is either fattening, illegal or doesn't text back.

Jerin Ephrem: Jerin Ephrem is a Malayali living in Mumbai, who started doing standup comedy after realising it's the only time people take him seriously. Currently based in Mumbai, Jerin has performed across 7 cities and has won multiple open mic competitions at the Canvas Laugh Club and other comedy venues in the country. He has also been featured in lineups comprising of the best in the business such as Aditi Mittal, Abish Mathew, Daniel Fernandes, Azeem Banatwala and Zakir Khan. Still early days into his comedy career, he already claims to be the funniest guy to have come from Kerala after Sreesanth.

The festival is brought to you by Comedian Rhapsody in association with Rotaract Club of Ruia. The show is a part of the Talk-A-Thon Festival being organised by RC Ruia in pursuit of providing a platform for all artists with respect to each art form such as comedy, poetry and music.

RC Ruia involves itself in work that provides regular community service through activities such as Health-Care checkups, blood donation drives, brand awareness drives, charity service for the underprivileged, etc. Part of proceeds from this gig will be put forth in the same direction to have a greater impact with each service that this non-profit organisation selflessly provides.
