Club Mono was created to seek out stories from all corners of India and equip professional artists with a stage to bring new stories to a global audience.

Every month, Club Mono presents 4 monologues showcasing new writing, a new cast, and 4 new incredible stories. These monologues are sourced from playwrights across India and are original, stand-alone pieces.

About the artists:

Vandana

Vandana Bhushan is a Mumbai-based theatre performer, writer, and director. She has written the play ‘Love, More or Less'. 'Mann Ki Baat' a play co-written by her was selected and performed at 'Dastak’, the Hindi Theatre Festival in Singapore. She has performed across India in several plays such as Refund, Sur Vs Asur, The Sun Set in the East, Story of Space, Gittu Bittu, Pagla Ghoda, Iss Desh ka Yaaron Kya Kehna, The Dark Room 2.0, Untitled among others

Anusha

Anusha completed her training with Actor's Toolbox 2021 by Chakravyu Performing Arts and played 'Wendla Bergman' in the graduation production of 'Spring Awakening' directed by Glenn Hayden. Starting her theatre journey as backstage crew for 'Trivial Disasters' by 'The Company Theatre', Anusha was last seen in Speed Play Production's 'Chafed'.

About the artists:

Rimsha

Rimsha Minocha is an aspiring screenwriter and filmmaker. Originally from Mumbai, she is presently pursuing a Documentary Film Production course from Seneca@York in Toronto. Post working as a Director’s Assistant/Assistant Director with renowned filmmaker Alankrita Shrivastava in India, she is inspired to now create her own slice-of-life films. With her seven-year professional experience in the Indian Arts & Media industry, Rimsha has trained under independent artists, theatre production houses, and digital creators.

Sugandha

Sugandha started her theatre journey as an actor with Rangshila theatre group. She did her first play 'Safarnama', followed by the play 'Love more or less' with Rangshila. She worked on the plays 'Foolish heart' & 'All that matters' with Chakravyuh performing arts

Rayana

A former editor of Marketing Magazine Singapore and a marketer, Rayana is a trained theatre actor, emcee, and corporate trainer. She has over 15 years of work experience in theatre, and media & communications, out of which the last 10 were in Singapore and Southeast Asia. During her stint in Southeast Asia, she organized and hosted over 150 business conferences and events, and was a part of DASTAK– Singapore’s only Hindi Theatre Festival as its marketing and artistic director. In 2018, she returned to Mumbai and set up Mobius Strip Productions and Chakravyu Performing Arts.

A CMO Asia Woman Leadership Excellence Award winner, Rayana is passionate about theatre and theatre-based training. She firmly believes that learnings from the theatre are highly relevant and of immense value to any organization and individual.

Subhadeep

Subhadeep Bhattacharyya is a tech entrepreneur by profession, living the Mumbai life and trying to carve time again for his first love  - films & theatre. 

Subhadeep, apart from being deeply involved in writing and directing theatres in his growing up years in Kolkota, has finished a short course in script-writing from Whistling Woods in Mumbai, completed his first ful length movie script that got shortlisted by Sundance & Mumbai Mantra, and directed his first short that got screened in Kalaghoda Mumbai. 

Subhadeep is deeply intrigued by the global themes of equality, democracy, climate rights, and social fiction.

Yashwardhan

Yashvardhan is a Mumbai-based actor who has done his training and workshops under DSM and Glenn Hayden. He has done plays with Glenn Hayden in both supper theatre and studios and also acted in web series on both Netflix and Amazon prime ( Four more shots please and Bhaag Beanie Bhaag). Play Paani Bai will mark his directorial debut.
