Artist
With over 100 shows performed across the country, Sumit Anand has been regularly featured on the national television show NDTV Rising stars of comedy, and consistently performs at leading venues like The Comedy Store. The comedian has also performed several shows in Singapore, put up a show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and recently toured with known stand-up comedian Karunesh Talwar. In association with Comedy Central and NDTV Prime, he is creator and performer of a one-hour solo comedy show called Many mistakes of my life. A rare combination of engineer and MBA, his shows cover topics like living abroad and living in general. Before you jump to conclusions, he has tried things like studying, focusing, and dedication before he almost immediately loved Comedy.
Shankar Chugani is a stand up comic based in Bangalore. He has been performing across the country for the last 5 years. You can watch him on Amazon Prime's Comicstaan or catch him live at a comedy show. As a kid, Shankar Chugani was distressingly short and easily intimidated. Now, he's still short, but less easily intimidated, and busy making people laugh. Over the last 5 years, Shankar's high energy performances have entertained people across the country - from small open mics to massive audiences in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune. Come join them to find out what it feels like to be a small town boy forced to dance as a girl, amongst other stories
A journalist by qualification, Gaurav Kapoor is another by-product of the famous Bollywood Kapoor family. Just kidding. The comedian is a sweet Delhi boy who does what he is expected to – hold a respectable job (he has one in retail) and make people laugh when needed (his secret profession). His razor sharp wit and candid humor lead him to win almost every open-mic he has ever participated in (yes, he is that good), including the Big Mic, Canvas Laugh Club, Chalta Hai and Buzz Off. So good that he opened for the world famous comic Russell Brand on his Indian tour. His favorite topics to talk about on stage are Jaat culture, people who buy Royal Enfields and poverty (mostly his own), a variety that makes the Indian audiences fall in love with him. And with his recent spelling change (Kapur to Kapoor), he has got all the validation he needs, and is ready to take over the world.
Sumaira Shaikh is a Dongri-bred psychology graduate who gave up being a counsellor and decided to focus all her energies on Stand up comedy and content creation. Along with hitting open mics she has worked with AIB and as a writer on Son of Abish. She then joined Sumukhi Suresh to write Amazon Prime Exclusive- Pushpavalli, HotStar Exclusive- Beauty and the Feast and is currently working on multiple titles with her. She is also script supervisor for Sumukhi's YouTube series Behti Naak. When she isn't writing content or performing she watches wildlife documentaries and takes her mother's fabulous cooking for granted.
