About the Event
Join us for CultureCon 2024—a creative sector conference—that returns for the first time since 2020. Discussions, presentations, masterclasses and more that strike right at the heart of festivals, events, and the creative economy. Set in the exciting new cultural venue, Museum of Solutions, Lower Parel, of Mumbai, CultureCon aims to unite and inspire a diverse community of students, professionals, sector leaders and enthusiasts from across disciplines such as events, art, film and design.

He has played pivotal roles in stage productions like Disney's Aladdin and Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding and directed a film for Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. As an angel investor, he has invested in over 40 startups with successful exits like Little Eye Labs, Zappr, DocsApp etc. With seven national awards and numerous accolades, Roshan continues to inspire and innovate in the Indian media industry, creating opportunities and experiences that connect people.

Ruchira Das
Ruchira Das is an arts leader with 25 years of experience in working on projects in India and internationally. In September 2023 she joined British Council as Director Arts India. Prior to that she worked as Artistic Director at Arthshila where she oversaw programming of multi arts centres in locations across India. In 2013, she founded ThinkArts to facilitate high quality, transformative arts events for children and young people. She has also been a tutor of Strategic Planning & Financial Management in short courses organised by ARThink South Asia, where she served as the Deputy Director.

KV Kanchana brings over 18 years of experience in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Business Development, Project Management, Financial Management, and Operations Management. Her work spans various sectors including Enterprise Development, Clean Energy, Agriculture, and Livelihood. She has held key positions at Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship, Ernst & Young LLP, and S3IDF. As the CEO of the Network of Indian Cultural Enterprises (NICEorg), Kanchana leads the organization's mission to create an ecosystem to help Enterprises build Cultural businesses.

Dr. Marguerite Rumpf
Dr. Marguerite Rumpf is a consultant in the Education and Discourses Department of the Cultural Division at the Goethe-Institut, focusing on cultural management in the digital age and cooperative work in digital worlds. Before joining the Goethe-Institut, she was part of a research group on online teaching and learning and worked as an orchestra manager. The Goethe-Institut is the globally active cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Bruce Guthrie is the Head of Theatre and Films for the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Mumbai, India.He is an award-winning theatre director and producer. His work has played in London's West End, New York and at major International Festivals. He has been head of Theatre and Films at the NCPA since September 2019.

Rafael Pereira is an intellectual property strategist and web oracle working at the intersection of law and business in technology, entertainment, arts, and culture. As the managing partner of TINNUTS, he collaborates with creators and entrepreneurs across sectors. A Berkeley Law graduate, Rafael advises major artists, labels, publishers, distributors, and promoters on their business and legal affairs in Asia and is currently building the Indian Music Exchange with India International Music Week as its flagship project.

Sitara Chowfla is a curator and consultant dedicated to empowering artists and creating impactful experiences for diverse audiences. Sitara works across multiple spaces and projects in the art and culture ecosystem. As a co-founder of Goa Open Arts, she actively drives exhibitions, events, artist grants and other projects for the organisation. She is also currently involved as a grants manager with the Good Earth Heritage Foundation, where she aids cultural organizations in heritage and craft preservation. With a strong background in arts management, she has consulted for Art X Company, led content strategy for Good Earth, and curated numerous exhibitions and programs.

Amruta Nemivant holds a Master's in History of Art from the University of York, UK, and works in the programme and culture department at Goethe-Institut Mumbai, focusing on visual arts projects. Her work includes projects and exhibitions on 'Tech-Art' and 'Art-Science-Tech, addressing environmental and civil society concerns. She collaborates with leading museums like ZKM and HKW on topics such as art and computing, Al, NFTs, and open source.

Aliya Elariss
Aliya Elariss has focused her career on advancing sustainable ties between Australia and India through culture, education, and development. After completing her studies at the University of Melbourne, she curated programs for the Australia India Institute and worked as an assistant curator at the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum. For the past nine years, she has been with the Australian Consulate-General in Mumbai, currently serving as the Public Diplomacy and Communications Manager.

Arjun S Ravi
Arjun is the writer of the documentary series Standing By, which covers the history of Western music in India from the 1930s to the present day. The series, available on YouTube, includes fascinating stories such as jazz in Kolkata in the 1960s, the birth of Indian metal, and the Indipop phase in the '90s. Additionally, check out the song “PSP 12” by the band Zero, whose chorus inspired the title of this documentary.

Tej is the Head of Festivals at Nodwin Gaming. His extensive background includes roles at Warner Chappell Music, Universal Mastering, BBC 6Music, WERS 88.9FM, and Clouds FM.
