Youth Hostels Association of India is organizing the National Himalayan Winter Trekking Expedition in the Dalhousie region of Western Himalayas for the last 24 years. On a popular demand from our members we are once again organizing this expedition from the 10th of December-2019 to the 6th of January-2020. Dalhousie is the very beautiful Hill Station in Himachal Pradesh. Spectacular snow-covered Dhauladhar Mountains are also visible from this enchanting town. Come and see what lies beyond the hills, peep into unseen and have a feel of snow. You are welcome to join this trail on any day during the scheduled period.

MANDATORY: Trekking Medical Certificate will be compulsory at the time of reporting only (with 30 days of validity ) duly signed by registered Medical Practitioner (MBBS / MD only) along with his registration no. and stamp.

# Day 1: Reporting at Youth Hostel Dalhousie

# Day 2: Training/Acclimatization

# Day 3: Base camp Trek to Kalatop camp - 8km/ 5hr

# Day4: Kalatop camp to Khajjiar camp- 11km/ 7hr

# Day 5: Khajjiar camp to Mangla camp- 11km/ 6hr

# Day 6: After breakfast transfer by bus from Mangla camp to Dalhousie Youth Hostel Certificate Distribution and Recreation Activity & Check out after lunch.

 Youth hostel Dalhousie is near Dalhousie bus stand on walking distance. Nearest Railway Station: Pathankot Cantt. on main Delhi/ Howrah- Jammu section of Northern Railways. Bus Service: Regular bus service from Pathankot, Delhi and other parts of Punjab. Pathankot Cantt. to Dalhousie is about 80km (3-4hr journey by bus). Roadways buses and private taxis are available.

Who can Participate: 

The minimum age for a member to join the program is 18 years to 60 Years, YHAI membership is mandatory to participate. This condition will be adhered to strictly. Under age and above age will not be considered in any case. Members desirous of joining this programme may apply online duly supported by a "Trekking Medical Certificate".
