Decoupage is an artistic sleight of hand. This is a hands on experience workshop in which you will learn various techniques of French art 'Decoupaging' which means the art or craft of decorating objects with paper cut-outs.

What appears to be a painted design is actually paper, glued in place. What looks like lacquer is just a few coats of clear varnish and what begins as an unremarkable piece of art becomes a bold, modern design statement.

Using this technique you can create original items as well as up cycle things. You will develop a skill set that can also be used in creating art journals and mixed media crafts. After this workshop you can practice Decoupage on any Surface like tin, leather, glass, furniture, etc.

So what do we learn to decoupage in this workshop?
Learn from scratch on how to work on Canvas Pouch and MDF Board - from painting them to varnishing them
Learn to play with fabric using napkins and Decoupage with patterned papers on Board
Colour merging technique covered
Incorporation of stencils and stamping.
How do we preserve our creations? Finished Products can be wiped with a wet cloth.
