Literature is an integral and elemental aspect of the academic, intellectual, pedagogical and public life of the modern world. It is in the expressive reading and acute understanding of literature that the concrete outlook of humanity receives its expression.

Predicated on this appreciation of literature and knowledge, officiated by the University of Delhi and led by the Historic India Research Foundation, the Delhi University Literature Festival scheduled for 17th, 18th & 19th March, 2023 is set to be instituted as the greatest literary exercise in the history of the Indian academic spaces with the first edition celebrating DU's 100 glorious years, India's G20 presidency, and the Amrit Kaal, 75 years of independence.

This unprecedented academic and literary endeavour seeks to establish itself in the University of Delhi for generations as a benchmark of commemorating rigorous academics, literature and scholarship.

With both the festival director & curator being eminent alumni of DU, the literature festival shall also call upon all eminent dignitaries to reconnect to their alma mater. 

Along with the literati-infused discussions, the literature festival shall be celebrated with magnificent cultural nights, and performances, providing the students with a remarkable opportunity to witness and experience the confluence of culture, academics, literature, and delicacy. 

The festival is expected to host more than 45 sessions in three days and a massive coverage by media channels and leading newspapers of the nation, coming together to celebrate the festival of literature, knowledge and intellect. 

The prominent authors for the first edition include Olympian & former Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Padma Shri Bibek Debroy, Ms. Diya Kumari of Jaipur, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, Dr. Subramanian Swamy, Prof. Meenakshi Jain, Rajiv Malhotra, Mr. Sanjaya Baru, Mr. Pavan K Verma, Vice President of ORF - Gautam Chikermane and bestselling authors including Makarand Paranjape, Ami Ganatra, Chandrachur Ghose, Anuj Dhar, Anand Ranganathan, Uday S Kulkarni and about 100+ prominent dignitaries.
