Indian Classical Music also known as Shastriya Sangeet is considered more for the classes and less for the masses. And due to this reason it appears to be mystifying to the uninitiated. And so this fountainhead of music which dates back to the Vedic period remains unavailable to a lot of people.

Here’s a great opportunity to experience and learn about this 3000 year old music system in a compact and engaging format.

About The Facilitator: Rama Sundar Ranganathan

Rama is a professional Hindustani Classical Musician. She is an ‘A’ grade All India Radio artist and has performed in multiple platforms in India and abroad.

Having also trained in art at Triveni Kala Sangam Rama uses the mediums of oil, watercolours and ink wash sketching to express herself besides singing. She devotes her time performing and doing workshops for schools and colleges on the subject of classical music with art as her tool.

Rama is an exhibiting artist, a published author of Children’s books and also writes a popular blog - Rama's blog is a commentary on music, art and culture and has been nominated as one in top forty cartoon websites by Feedspot. She also writes for TimesInternet.
