Learn the indigenous art of metal casting from Adivasi masters in a two day workshop at Monalisa, Kalagram in Pune. Devrai Art Village takes pride in evolving the tradition of Dhokra Art by introducing a technique of fusing stone with brass. Come create your own sculpture masterpiece by using the unique method of ‘Devrai Rock Dhokra’. Also get a feel of creating ornaments out of broken pieces of pottery by amalgamating brass designs on them, another innovation of Devrai Art Village.

The Dhokra process involves creating the desired sculpture in wax and then casting it in metal. At the workshop participants will be given an overview of the process and then create their own sculpture up to the waxwork stage. The finished artefact after casting will be couriered to you later.

There will be an additional charge for casting of your artefacts if you wish to take back the final pieces in brass (₹ 500 - ₹ 2000 depending on size)
