ABOUT THE CREATIVES & THE PROJECTS / EXPERIENCES:

1. INDIAN CONTEMPORARY ELECTRONICA JAZZ PERFORMANCE (LIVE): 

About Project:

A musical experience by guitarist & producer Raj, known for blending jazz with electronic music fused with neo soul guitars while showcasing his solid Indian roots. 

Packed with sounds that one would hear at dusk, this immersive musical experience is bound to transport the audience into another realm. The performance would also feature Japanese trumpet player Chie Nishikori.

The set will be a combination of lush Chillhop lofi beats with atmospheric sounds, Indian elements such as sitar, flute etc. along with the introduction of live trumpet & guitars eventually. The idea is to go back & forth with mellow beats featuring Indian elements as well as jazzy neo soul guitars & trumpet harmonies creating hybrid jazzy yet modern soundscapes. eventually the set will ascend & get slightly more upbeat.

About Artists:

Raj is a guitarist & producer based in Delhi, his beats standout from the rest for their commitment towards melodic content, featuring jazz sounds fused with neo soul guitars, calming vocal chops & groovy drums, Raj's music is an intersection between Jazz & Electronic music. His music has received well worldwide, racking up more than 7 million streams on Spotify. He has been able to make a name for himself in the global Lofi & beat making community landing up record deals with popular labels like Chill Beats Records, Lofi Chill Records, Mutombo records, etc. along with getting featured on some of the biggest Spotify editorials in the world.

Chie Nishikori is a trombonist and trumpeter from Izumo, Shimane Japan. Chie is one of the most sought after trumpet players in the country. She has worked with artists like Midival Punditzs, Karsh Kale, Bolly Jazz etc.

2. IMMERSIVE ART EXHIBIT : OVERTURE BY BIGFAT X MYLES

About project:

‘Overture’ is a new and previously unseen audio-visual piece by visual artist BigFat and creative technologist Myles . It was first showcased at Mumbai Light Festival's Satellite Edition in December 2022. The 14-minute piece combines a sci-fi abstraction of flashing lights, geometric forms, organic topologies & textures which come together to create a dynamic & ever-evolving visual landscape. It is accompanied by an original soundtrack that further adds depth and emotional resonance to the visuals.

About Artists:

Aniruddh Mehta is a Mumbai-based designer and artist whose work ranges from traditional graphic design to digital and new media arts. He is the founder of Studio Bigfat, a multi-disciplinary design studio that works in areas such as graphic design, digital illustration, and motion design.

Myles is a music technologist, creative coder, and composer who puffs out custom software solutions regarding interactive art exhibits, visuals, and tools that allow musicians to express themselves artistically.

3. IMMERSIVE TEXTILE INSTALLATION : EKAYA BANARAS X LALIMA

About Project:

‘KATRAN’ An aerial installation tapping into the beauty of textiles and showcasing them in a different form & scale. Homage to the heritage of Benarasi & silk handloom by creating a thing of Beauty from seemingly waste or discarded trimmings.

4. LIVE INTERACTIVE ART + SHOWCASE: BAHAAR ROHATGI

About Project:

Art is nothing but an exchange of energy and collectively, we create an artwork which brings all the forces together. The leading conduit: Bahaar who enables and the rest who come together and open up and release on the canvas, guided/ enabled by Bahaar. Bahaar takes all those collective strokes and motifs and ties it all together live on one giant canvas. Creating an artwork that signifies it is forever evolving, one for all and all for one, where the journey is more important than the result: we document different stages of the canvas to show the evolution it goes through mapping the energy at the event. 

Aim: to create an immersive experience and let everyone release. That way people can also be involved in the creation and evolution of the artwork and see their own signature styles emerge as a collective energy. The point is not for the artist to direct or decide what the work is but in the abstraction for people to discern for themselves what they see in the work. Much like an inner reflection. No imposition, just perception, fostering the notion that art is a journey, not a destination- much like life itself and it can never be created in isolation and is a collective experience. 

About Artist:

Rohatgi, who left her lucrative career in law to pursue her passion for the arts, has exhibited both in India and abroad; in 2017, she was given the ‘Best Emerging Artist’ award by ASSOCHAM at the SAARC Women Economic Forum. In the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown, Rohatgi has dedicated her time to offering legal aid to cases of domestic violence, feeding migrant workers, and supporting children’s education. All while creating affordable art that adds value and sparks happiness.

5. MIXOLOGY WORKSHOP:

Led by an expert mixologist and Dewar's Brand Ambassador, this workshop is set to offer an engaging experience for cocktail enthusiasts, providing hands-on training and guidance in crafting exquisite and innovative drinks. Participants explore the art of mixology, learning techniques and experimenting with a variety of flavors to create unique and tantalizing beverages.

ABOUT VENUE: STIR

Someone said ‘Art is not what you see, but what you make others see’ and this stands true for all the art galleries in town, especially this new one in Chattarpur called STIR. Founded by Amit Gupta, STIR means See, Think, Inspire, Reflect and is a platform for the dissemination of ideas, knowledge and innovations in the field of design, architecture and new media art. Not just that but they’ve also got arenas for cross-disciplinary collaborations, industry connections and community building. So, here you’ll find some of the newest modern art displays which change from time to time. It’s a platform that connects industry to professionals. A medium that enables collaboration between professionals and allied industry.
