Trek to Dhak Bahiri in Karjat region, Dhak Bahiri is a religious cave in the mountain. To reach the caves, we have to trek through the jungle cover and then climb the mountain on the edgy rock cut patches with open valley exposed on the other side. From the cave we can see Shrivardhan & Manaranjan fort of Rajmachi. The thrilling part of the trek is the last vertical patch that needs to be climbed to reach the cave. 

We will be reaching local village by late night and rest till early morning hours, Start the trek in the morning and complete by afternoon, Have sumptuous lunch and then leave to Karjat Railway station. The complete trek briefing along with safety measures will be given by our trek leaders at the reporting point.

Note: As per the locals religious belief ladies aren’t allowed into the temple in the cave.

Trek stats:

Grade: Medium, Endurance: Moderate, Highest Elevation: 2700 feet, Distance: 13 km approx.

Itinerary:

• Assemble at Karjat Railway Station - 01:15AM ( prefer CSMT to Khopoli fast train at 11:18PM on Saturday night).

• Travel by hired vehicle to the base village - 45 minutes.

• Rest till early morning hours.

• wake up call - 5:30AM.

• Freshup & Breakfast at villagers home - 30 minutes.

• Event briefing and introduction - 15 minutes.

• Ascent Trek to Dhak Bahiri caves from the base village - 3 hours approx

• Reach the caves & rest for a while - 45 minutes.

• Descent trek towards the base village - 2 hours approx.

• Lunch break at villagers house - 1 hour.

• Reach Karjat from the base village by hired vehicle - 45 minutes.

Expenses:

INR 800 per head inclusive of breakfast, Lunch, travel by hired vehicle from Karjat - base village - Karjat.

How to Register:

Step-2: After payment you will be requested to fill up the Mandatory disclaimer form online.

Step -3: Now your participation is confirmed & Organizer will create WhatsApp group on the day of the event for coordination, We will coordinate through SMS/ Call if participant is not available in WhatsApp.

Checklist

What to Wear:

• Trekking shoes /outdoor boots with good grip.

• Comfortable quick dry full sleeve clothes (avoid jeans).

What to Bring:

Carry a single rucksack with the following things:

• Minimum 3 litres of water.

• Sleeping bag or blankets for bedding.

• Dry fruits, ready to eat food, chocolates and snacks.

• Toiletry kit, sunscreen lotion, mosquito repellent.

• Spare set of clothes, extra pair of socks.

• Don't wear jewellery items and expensive accessories.

• Strictly no littering, carry extra bag for non biodegradable (plastic) wastage.

• Personal medicines if any.

• ID Proof is mandatory.

• Participants should bring an ID Card for their own safety.

• After online payment participant will need to fill up the mandatory disclaimer online form with accurate details else will be asked to refill by the event host.

• Please do not cause delay and cause inconvenience for others and impact the schedule if you are not able to reach the pickup point on the said time.

• Below 16 must take the consent of the parents to participate.

• Participants will be notified in prior when itinerary is modified/ event gets cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances.

• If there is an unexpected change in weather during the event, organizer has rights to withdraw/ retreat.

• Do not play loud music or tease animals during trek.

• Avoid deodorant or perfume.

• Participants should pay for the expenses that are not mentioned in the expenses.

• Event schedule may delay or advance due to unforeseen conditions so timings haven't mentioned except in the event start and end time.

• Alcohol consumption/ smoking tobacco/ weed is strictly prohibited. Will be expelled from the event If found with consumption.

• Please do not litter any plastic; we commit in keeping our events clean.

• Washroom facility is inadequate during the course of the event.

• Participants should coordinate, disciplined and align together as a team during the event.

• Please do not expect luxury facilities and appreciate being cooperative with fellow ramblers.

• Though we assure safety as a top priority, Event Organizers are not responsible for any severe injuries or fatal events.

• No group discount.

• We rely on third party payment gateways to make the registration process simple and feasible; it also includes the convenience fee along with the main event fee which will be shown at check out that should be borne by the participant.

• A refund of 50% is paid if participants cancel their registration one day before the event or on the day of the event.

• No refund for no-show.
