About the Artform
Dream catchers can be traced back to when Ojibwe people started the phenomenon of making dream catchers and over time, it became widely adopted by Native Americans in the 1960s and 1970s. In Native American and some of the first Nations cultures, a dreamcatcher is a handmade willow hoop flaunting a woven net or web. A dreamcatcher may also include sacred items such as feathers or beads.Use this area to describe the image or provide supporting information.
