About the Artform
Dream catchers can be traced back to when Ojibwe people started the phenomenon of making dream catchers and over time, it became widely adopted by Native Americans in the 1960s and 1970s. In Native American and some of the first Nations cultures, a dreamcatcher is a handmade willow hoop flaunting a woven net or web. A dreamcatcher may also include sacred items such as feathers or beads.
About the Workshop
This is a two-day workshop where you will learn to make two pretty dreamcatchers. During this process, you will learn to use different types of rings and the various styles and patterns of web weaving your dream catcher. Get step-by-step guidance to wreathing, wrapping, and web weaving. Finally, attach feathers to find yourself create a wonderful dreamcatcher!

Who is this workshop “just right” for?
This workshop is for anybody who is interested in learning a new art form and wants to create magic with thier hands. It is a beginner-friendly workshop. (Age 14+)

Matching Feathers (2 colors - 50 pcs each)

Pre-requisites / Preparation prior to the workshop
You can paint your base background color and keep it ready in order to let it dry and save time.
You can color the base with any color of your choice, preferably a dark background.
Keep all your materials ready with you, prior to the session.
