About the workshop: 

TARQ and Bombay Paperie are delighted to announce a Nature themed craft making workshop that binds with the gallery's ongoing exhibition, Wandering Violin Mantis by Nibha Sikander. 

Bombay Paperie is the home of real hand-made paper. The paper is made entirely by hand from a pulp of waste 'sunn' hemp, old fishing nets, gunny sacks, tailoring waste, articles that had outlived their original us. No trees were cut to make this paper. They conduct creative workshops across all age groups for individuals and corporations.Teacher and textile designer, Leena Barve teaches paper making, origami, craft and a host of other paper based activities exclusively with our handmade paper.     

Get inspired and sculpt your own imaginative creatures with paper. Remember a time when you woke up to the sound of birds chirping and fell asleep listening to crickets? Sikander invites you to share her love for nature with her colourful and intricately made creatures. With climate change, there are many species disappearing at an alarming rate, it is your chance to bring back/revive those creatures and go beyond by imagining your own! We invite you to unfold your creativity...
