Speakeasy is celebrating its fourth edition of the International Jazz Day, with a line-up featuring some of the best artists of the city.

On April 30:

Nishtha: 8.30 pm -9.30 pm

Nishtha is a singer-songwriter based in New Delhi. She started singing at an early age and went on to study music at the LA College of Music. Nishtha released her debut album Minor Epiphany in February 2016, with renowned producer Saibal Basu. She will be presenting jazz standards by Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra and will be joined by Anirudhha Wattal on guitar and Varun Gupta on percussions.

Captial Three: 10 pm-11.30 pm

Capital Three is an experimental jazz trio based in New Delhi. Featuring Rythem Bansal, Aditya Srinivasan and Aditya Dutta, their music includes a wide range of covers and originals, accurately representing the varying influences the three have been exposed to throughout their musical endeavours, and further focuses on blending elements of the traditional and the modern.

On May 1:

Tanya: 8pm-9pm

Tanya Nambiar is a singer-songwriter based in New Delhi. Making simple, easy listening and soulful music, she recently released two singles which have been receiving a fantastic response from all around. A smooth voice that you shouldn't miss out on, she will be performing jazz standards by Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra.

Afterglow: 9pm-11pm

Afterglow is a jazz-funk quartet based in New Delhi. With an affinity for improvisation and playing original music, the band features Rie Ona (Clarinet, Alto and Tenor Saxophone), Shivam Khare (Keyboard), Sonic Shori (Bass) and Sreenath Sreenivasan (Drums). The band has also been featured on Radio One and Balcony TV recently.
