About the Event

The plush South Mumbai neighbourhood that is known for its British lineage and architectural magnificence, Ballard Estate, will open up for the first time for The Mumbai’s Ballard Estate Festival, an initiative by The Mumbai Port Trust. Brought to you by Ferriswheel Entertainment, the event will take place on every weekend until May 2016.


The festival will imbibe the spirit of a street festival and will incorporate more than 100 retail and food and beverage options. Apart from the major gourmet fiesta, it will also include live music performances, movie promotions, exhibitions, performing arts showcase, contemporary art shows, heritage walks, flea markets and a lot more.


With state of the art production, the festival will see performances by indie acts such as:

Sherrin Varghese

Former member of the pop vocal band Band of Boys, Bombay-based musician Sherrin Varghese produces and performs live vocal electronica music along with other sub genres of electronic dance music with his act, The Liquid Bass Project.

The Morya Band

The Morya Band was established in 2013 in Mumbai. The group started with 50 people and now they have 200+ members in the group. Morya Dhol Tasha Pathak play for the Siddhivinayak temple, Shirdi Sai Babas Palkhi and they recently played for Salman Khan’s Ganpati Utsav.

Sanam

Sanam is an Indian pop band based in Mumbai. The group consists of Sanam Puri, Samar Puri, Venky S and Keshav Dhanraj and are known for their originals and Bollywood covers. In 2010, they won a nationwide pop music talent hunt contest which was organised by Times music.
