About the Event
Who said science-festivals have to be limited to experiments, calculations and competitions? Indian Institute of Science is here with their annual science-tech-cultural festival, Pravega. The festival has been doing consistently great. Their pro-nites have always been the talk of the town, and this time it only gets better and bigger than before. You ask why? Because this year the crowd will witness the best of bass by Nucleya, laugh their guts out with Biswa, head bang to Intronaut and sway to Dhruv Vishvanath’s music. Amazing, isn’t it? All of this at a science-tech-culture fest! Pravega will be featuring these incredible artists, and a plethora of other astounding acts. So, make sure you are there because it’s bound to enthrall you.

Single-handedly responsible for building a lexicon of bass music unique to India - Nucleya aka UdyanSagar is undoubtedly the country’s most popular and influential independent artist. The album launch tour spanning 6 cities is said to be the biggest-ever tour attempted by an Independent artist in India! His tracks ‘Let’s Nacho’ and ‘Paintra’ have featured in Bollywood movies like Kapoor and Sons and Mukkabaaz. He also played at the inaugural edition of the prestigious Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) India and was invited to play at EDC Mexico and the flagship EDC at Las Vegas. Remember the Pretentious Movie Reviews on YouTube? Good. Now forget them. That was just a warm-up to comic Biswa Kalyan Rath’s full comedy prowess. The comedian has moved up a few notches since his YouTube glory days and is using his IIT-Kharagpur education, along with his knowledge of mathematics, language and life, to make jokes that have never been cracked before. He recently released his comedy special, Biswa Mast Aadmi, to rave reviews, with which he toured every pocket in India. Soon after, he released 'Laakhon Mein Ek', a surprisingly dark web-series on the IIT coaching industry. One of the most-followed comedians in the country, Biswa’s angry rant-styled delivery and his unique perspective turns every topic he touches into comedy gold, making audiences crack up instantly. The stand-up comedian, writer, actor, size-zero enthusiast and blogger, has done countless shows across all sorts of venues in the country and has managed to garner 14+ million views on YouTube. Currently, Biswa is part of a panel of judges in Comicstaan, a nine episode series, to mentor and find India’s next comic sensation! Need we say more?
Dhruv Visvanath is a Delhi-based percussive guitarist who plays an eclectic mix of acoustic and indie music. He was recently named as one of the 30 Great Guitarists Under 30 in the world by Acoustic Guitar Magazine USA, alongside artists like Ed Sheeran and Newton Faulkner.
