Bigger and better, the annual traveling music festival, featuring fresh music from India and beyond, the Gig Week is coming to Pune and Mumbai this January. Keeping the tradition alive, it will feature a host of talented artists, distributed across 7 consecutive gigs over 7 days
From his 2013's fantastically diverse, cinematic solo debut entitled ‘Thanks For Trying’ released on BBE Records, DJ, producer and composer The Last Skeptik has continued on a genre defying journey through electronic music and beyond. Following in the footsteps of J Dilla and Pete Rock, Skeptik took it leftfield, adding an orchestra of musicians over neck-snapping hip hop production, and has been lauded by press, fans and radio alike. Recent years have seen Skeptik tour around globe, have mixes on rotation on Noisey, BBC1xtra, DefJam.com and BBC Radio One, and release a video for every song from ‘Thanks For Trying’ (16 original videos in total), as well as composing the soundtrack to BAFTA nominated short film ‘Island Queen’, Vice Magazine’s documentary on Atlanta Stripclubs, and an adverts for Adidas, Puma, Powerade and Reebok, and on BBC’s coverage of the 2012 Olympics.

2014 has seen Skeptik unleash his highly anticipated ‘I Don’t Even Like You’ E.P on BBE Records, alongside his 9 piece live band show, and writing, remixing and producing for a bevy of artists such as Gorillaz, Grouplove, Scrufizzer, Trim, Dream Mclean and FEMME, with the latter two being the sole guests on this brilliant new E.P. Already supported by the likes of MTV, SBTV, Noisey and BBC Radio One (Huw Stephens and MistaJam).

Add to that scene stealing DJ sets around the world, from Coachella to SXSW and supporting Charli XCX on her U.S tour and beyond, and DJaying for Femme and Doc Brown (djing for his live comedy show) as well as opening up shows for the likes of 2Chainz, Childish Gambino, Wu Tang Clan, and Zero 7.
The musical alter ego of Sulk Station member Rahul Giri, _RHL is an amalgamation of varied soundscapes that Rahul likes travelling in.
Straddling downtempo, house, techno, hip-hop, funk, trip-hop, electronica, ambient, drum and bass and anything in between there’s no limit to what a _RHL live show can or cannot do. An active instigator of the Bangalore alternative/electronica scene, _RHL also regularly introduces new music and acts from Bangalore through his carefully curated music blog, turned record label; Consolidate. Though his releases are not very frequent, his name regularly features in list of producers to watch out for. Rahul is working on _RHL’s debut EP, expected to release later in 2016.
UP7T is the stage name of New Delhi based bass music enthusiast, Ayush Arora. A start as a passionate dancer in his early years brought him towards music. During his post-graduation days in the UK, he got the opportunity to explore local electronic music scene in Manchester.
Frequent visit to gigs at Sankeys and The Warehouse Project club series helped him experience a broader spectrum of electronic music and gradually develop a keen interest in bass music in particular. The idea behind UP7T is to showcase his interpretation of bass music which can be a mix of deep dubstep, grime, footwork, slow/fast and things in between.
