The One With A Plan has come up with their new adventure ride. This time to the land of ancient secrets, Vietnam. A perfect destination to experience weird food, jaw-dropping landscapes and how this country picked itself up after the American War. Here is a plan, which promises to take you to the best of the best experiences that this mystic country has to offer. Try stopping yourself from not falling in love with this mystic land.
On arrival at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, we will be welcomed by our guide and transfer to the hotel to check in.
Then we will venture out to explore Hanoi and enjoy the local food. Firstly, we meet up at the hotel then walk to Pho restaurant for our light breakfast. Then walk down to the Hang Be street for visiting the local market, we are guided all the ingredients as well as inhabit of local people here. After the street market, we continue our trip along different streets, try to taste many kinds of local food such as oil-fried pastry, tofu, rice pancake, pillow cake, sweet soup, stuff pancake with pork, draught beer… and one of our best surprised is a stop at Dong Xuan whole sales market where we know many kinds of ingredients being sold. Last but not least is our happy ending at a hidden coffee in the Old Quarters enjoy its famous ‘egg coffee’ in a pleasant surrounding overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake. After the food tour, we enjoy 1-hour cyclo tour of the French inspired "old quarter" before sitting down to enjoy a performance of the city’s famous Water Puppets.
Overnight in Hanoi
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay (4-hour cruise) – Hanoi (B)
Pick up at our hotel in Hanoi after breakfast, we will take 180 KM to Halong Bay – The Bay of Descending Dragon, which is located in the Northeast of Vietnam. Halong Bay has been recognized by UNESCO as the World Natural Heritage thanks to its universal values of landscape, geology and geomorphology, respectively in 1994 and 2000 and is one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
On arrival in Tuan Chau Pier at around noon, we will get on boat with welcome of the crew team. Lunch will be served onboard with seafood mainly while our cruise sets toward to the Islet of Rocky Dog (Hon Cho Da), Incense Burner (Hon Dinh Huong) and Fighting Cock (Hon Ga Choi). Our cruise then docks at Amazing Cave (Hang Sung Sot), can say, the most amazing cave in Halong at this stage with hundreds of splendid stalactite. After one-hour visiting the cave, we continue cruising to Titov Island where we will have free time for swimming. Back to the cruise at around 4 PM, continue exploring further in the bay before ending the trip at 6 PM at Tuan Chau Wharf. We will find our car is waiting and take us back to Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi city tour – Night train to Dong Hoi (B)
Today we will venture out to explore Hanoi. First up we will drive to the Ho Chi Minh complex where we will spend time at Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum, his former stilt-house, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum and One Pillar Pagoda. Followings we visit the Temple of Literature, which originally built as a temple to Confucius.
Then we visit Thang Long Citadel, Ngoc Son temple and Tran Quoc pagoda, and we can see the Train Street on the way.
Then time will be free until our car arrives to take us to the station and catch a night train to Dong Hoi.
Overnight on train.
Day 4: Exploring the caves of Phong Nha – Ke Bang (L)
On arrival in Dong Hoi at the early next morning, our car (no guide) will drive you to your hotel in Phong Nha. After a short rest, we will walk to the local wharf where we will take a 30-minute leisurely cruise in the Son river in a Dragon boat to Phong Nha cave. Enjoy the spectacular landscape of the national park along the ride, we will get to Phong Nha – the longest underground river in the world.
Rowing deeper into the cave, we will be dropped off 1 Km from the entrance where our expert caving guide will give us lots of information on the rock formations of the national park as well as massive breathtaking stalagmites and stalactites formed like the fairy-tale world. Back to the local wharf and have lunch. Then we’ll visit Paradise cave before heading back to our hotel.
Overnight in Phong Nha.
Day 5: Phong Nha – Dong Hoi – Hue – Cyclo tour around the city (B)
At 8:30 AM, we will be greeted at the hotel by a driver (no guide) and go to Hue. On arrival in Hue – the old citadel of Vietnam under Nguyen’s feudal from 1802 – 1945, we will have a cyclo tour to visit The Imperial Citadel, after exploring the ruins of this wonderful monument. We will then depart to the Hue Royal Fine Art Museum, which is housed within the former Dien Long An Royal Palace. We will finish our day with the local Dong Ba Market to see the daily life of local people. We will spend the night in Hue.

Day 6: Hue – River Boat & Royal Tomb – Danang (B)
At 8:30 AM, we will be greeted at the hotel by a driver and guide, then board the Dragon Boat on the romantic Perfume River heading out for the countryside. Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded with ancient tombs of emperors past, and a visit to the most beautiful tombs will be on the itinerary for today. The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop of the day. We will enjoy a great view on the Perfume River and surrounding area. Thien Mu Pagoda is considered the symbol of Hue, and of Buddhism in Vietnam. From here we rejoin our van and go visit King Khai Dinh's Tomb and King Tu Duc's Tomb. In the afternoon, we’ll go to Da Nang and have free time on the beach. Overnight in Da Nang.
Day 7: Danang – Bana Hill – Golden Bridge – Marble Mountain – Hoi An (B)
Pick up at your hotel, we will transfer to Bana Hill. Then taking cable car station and looking upon the endless tree lone of the forest, we will arrive at Bana Mountain. We will visit French Villas where provides the chance to capture the most stunning photos. Then, head to Linh Ung Pagoda with 27 meters high Buddha statue. Enjoy the panorama view of the Da Nang from the top of Ba Na Hills. Then we can admire the giant-sized sparkling Golden Bridge before transfer to Hoi An. On the way to Hoi An, we’ll visit Mable Mountain. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 8: Hoi An walking tour – Free time (B)
Met up by tour guide in the morning then we transfer down to the downtown for our walking tour. We will start our walking tour around the ancient town to visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky old house, the Cantonese congregation, the silk street of Hoi An, the temples and pagodas of Chinese appearance. Then we’ll have free time to wander around Hoi An.
Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 9: Hoi An - Danang - departure (B)
In the morning, we will move to Danang, catch our flight to India and miss all the amazing memories forever.
