Join us to learn how to build compelling voice experiences for Amazon Alexa, the service that powers millions of devices, including Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Spot.

Attendees will receive an introduction to Alexa and in-depth training on how to build compelling skills. For this workshop, we will be using Voiceflow. Voiceflow makes it easy to create compelling voice applications without coding - and faster than coding.

We will be building three amazing skills –

1. Mazak Masti (A simple skill that tells you funny jokes at random)

2. Tronald Dump (Learn how to interface with an API and well…hear what Donald Trump has to say)

3. Movie Masti (Guess the movie name from the movie dialogue!) Along the way, learn all about building VUI (Voice User Interface) and how to add personality to your skills with the help of SSML (Speech Synthesis Markup Language).

In the end, we will pair up the attendees at random, assign them the role of a Human and Alexa and let them play it out! Finally, to end the workshop with a laugh, we will have a short stand-up comedy show.

About your Instructor : Hannan Satopay is an experienced Advisor with a demonstrated history of working in the E-learning industry by being part of the Autodesk Tinkercad Advisory Team, IEEE SKEP (Skill and Knowledge Enhancement Program) Speaker and IEEE Bombay Section TPAC (Technical Planning & Activity Committee) Student Chair. He is a high functioning individual with skills in various technological domains. He has published a technical paper in IEEE in the field of Security and the Internet of Things for which the “Best Paper” title was awarded. Besides technology, he loves to spend time watching movies and reading books.
