The Art Deco buildings along the drive have been there since 1920s or before. Some have been converted into hostels, some have been built by important architects and business families. Popular singer and actress, Suraiya lived in Krishna Mahal which is amongst the buildings overlooking the sea. There are lots of lost layers to these buildings which become important points in history to relate to. Hailed as the World Heritage site, there is so much to just observe, reflect and take in the beauty of these magnificent architectural style which is all across the city. A lot is being done to preserve these buildings and making younger generation even aware of Mumbai’s rich past. The style boasts of some fascinating colors, the typographic nameplates and its iconic location to count the few.

The walk starts along the Marine drive and finishes at Regal cinema. The walkers are then free to explore nearby museums and art galleries.
