Andharban , meaning dense dark forest, is a hub of wanderlust which lie right here in the Sahyadris and it offers amazing scenic beauty for the trekkers as it can be explored only on foot. The whole descend trek of 13 km takes almost 4 hours to complete. The trek takes one through beautiful patches of greenery, innumerable waterfalls and a majestic view of the river Kundalika seen from the ridge found inside the jungle. During monsoons the whole forest transforms itself into a natural paradise. Colorful flowers bloom everywhere, many different species of butterflies fly around and streams of rain water form natural waterfalls along the side of the ridge.
Calculated Calorie Burn:
We will be carrying along a GPS based (non cellular) device to measure our ascend, descend and total disctance covered. This device will be worn by one person along with a HR monitor, which will help us calculate the average calories burnt by that person. The exact calorie burn count would vary upon the physical attributes of each person.
