Introduction: India is known its diverse cultures as every region has its unique chronicle that has been carefully articulated in its own artform. Art was always considered an activity to indulge in from time to time and eventually those legacies stand through today to speak the stories of the history. This folk month we will be focusing on Aipan, Pichwai, Kerala Mural and Bengali Mural. Through the workshop you will get to learn some basic historic details of the art style and what really makes that artform unique in its own.
Things you will require during the course:
Laptop / Desktop / Phone / Tablet access along with good internet connection.
The link to the class will be shared once you enrol for the course.
Basic material : Pencils along with Eraser and Sharpeners.
Aipan : Red Thick Sheet A3 Size, White Marker, White pen
Pichwai : Watercolor Artist Quality, Brushes - Number: 0,3,5 , Brush Pens, Good Quality Watercolor Sheet.
Kerela Mural: Watercolor Artist Quality, Brushes - Number: 0,3,5 , Brush Pens, Good Quality Watercolor Sheet, Fine Line Black Pen : 0.3.
Bengali Mural: Cartridge sheet Sheet A3 Size, Fine Line Black pen:0.3 , Black Sketch Pen
What will you learn during the Workshop:
For Aipan:
Learn the history of the art form as you get a hands-on understanding about the aspects associated with the art style.
The importance of themes, motifs, patterns and techniques that come handy when creating Aipan Art.
We will experiment on drawing artistic compositions during the workshop.
Get your own Aipan Art painting at the end of the workshop.
For Pichwai:
Learn the history of the art form as you get a hands-on understanding about the aspects associated with the art style.

We will experiment on drawing artistic compositions during the workshop.
Get your own Pichwai Art painting at the end of the workshop.
For Kerala Mural:
A brief history on Kerala Mural Painting and how the art form has evolved over time.
The usage of mythology to paint this art style.
How the patterns, shapes, motifs, lines and textures are creatively used.
How to convey the story through the Kerala Mural art form.
For Bengali Mural:
Learn the history of the art form as you get a hands-on understanding about the aspects associated with the art style.

This workshop is ideal for anyone (10 years and above) who wishes to learn the traditional art forms at beginner level.
This course is intended for people looking to enhance their art skills and children looking to learn new art techniques.

She is proud to be associated with BAFA to pass down her knowledge of Kalamkari art style.
