The Dialogues with Art community brings to you it’s third ONLINE MEET-UP!

This session, hosted by Amritanshu Das (on Instagram as @the_iridescent_quill), will be about exploring calligraphy!

About the Session:

This meet-up is NOT an art workshop. It is a platform for artists, amateur and professional alike, to come together and explore a new art form. There is no student-teacher hierarchy. It's an open platform for anyone who loves art and who wants to pick up a new art style.

The Flow of the Session:

1. Ice breaker activity - Get to know your fellow participants and your host

2. Short demo by the host - A live calligraphy demo by Amritanshu

3. Simple calligraphy activities and practices - Some basic and some advanced exercises to make you a better calligrapher

4. Feedback session - Get constructive feedback on your calligraphy works and technique from the host as well as the participants 

About Calligraphy:

Calligraphy breathes new life into words. It's the poet of all art styles. As Amritanshu put it, "It is something that makes already meaningful words, come alive." This art form also teaches you patience and helps you appreciate the beauty in small things. 

Things you need for the session:

1. Calligraphy pens or even a simple pen or pencil will do

2. Paper

3. Keep your old calligraphy works ready. You can also email them to us at hello@dialogues.space and we will keep them ready for you.

4. A creative spirit!

This is NOT an art workshop. This meet-up is a platform for artists to come together and share their experiences, receive feedback on their work, and learn a few techniques of the art form. It’s suitable for beginners and professionals alike.
