Glitch in the Myth gives you front-row seats to Sita’s childhood, her marriage, her time at court, in the forest… and her subsequent disappearance. Who is responsible? Who are her allies? Will she return? 

To find out, you must promise to be bold, to forget what you have been taught, and to go on a journey of music, dance, poetry, laughter, and revolutions!

After houseful premieres at Thespo 25: Harr Rang Ka Manch, a national-level youth theatre movement, Glitch in the Myth was conferred the Thespo 25 Award for Outstanding New Writing, recognition for Outstanding Production Design, and the Pearl Padamsee Award for Outstanding Actor (Female).

About the artists

Anoushka is a writer, theatre performer, and Bharatnatyam dancer from Mumbai. She began her career in arts management with the national-level youth theatre movement Thespo. Her play, Glitch in the Myth, recently won the Pearl Padamsee Award for Outstanding Actor Female, the Thespo 25 Award for Outstanding Production Design, as well the award for Outstanding New Writing. She is also on stage in two other Mumbai-based productions: tafreehwale’s I Killed My Mother and director & dramaturg Tanvi Shah’s experimental Unshared Childhoods.

Maahi has been a student of Hindustani classical music for 8 years, learning under the tutelage of Shri Nishad Bakre. She has received her Sangeet Visharad and frequently performs in national-level competitions and live showcases, occasionally dabbling in playback singing. Maahi has learned to play the tabla under Shri Pushkar Joshi and is excited to explore new avenues for her skills.

Meghana AT is a theatre artist/theatre addict, who has been working in the Mumbai theatre circuit since 2012. In this time, she's worked as an actor, writer, director, production manager, trainer, producer - with more to come. She completed her Master's in Authorial Acting and Pedagogy from The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 2021. As the co-founder of tafreehwale she hopes to build a safe space to create and support innovative and original theatre.
