The Golden Langur Festival, an annual celebration in Western Assam, is a vibrant event promoting tourism, raising awareness for the endangered Golden Langur, and showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of the region. Scheduled from January 3rd to 7th, 2024, the festival encompasses traditional performances, art exhibitions, culinary showcases, and mega musical acts, offering a platform for local talents and businesses.

We are the stewards of a vision that transcends borders and generations, dedicated to safeguarding the endangered Golden Langur (Trachypithecus geei). As recognized by the Wildlife Act of 1972, the golden langur holds a precarious position among the 25 most endangered primates globally.

Our Sanctuary: Kakoijana Reserve Forest. 

Nestled within the Bongaigaon district, the Kakoijana Reserve Forest is more than a habitat; it's a haven for approximately 600 golden langurs thriving across 19.85 sq/km. This lush expanse stands testament to our commitment to preserving biodiversity and ensuring the survival of this unique primate species.
