Artist
A journalist by qualification, Gaurav Kapoor is another by-product of the famous Bollywood Kapoor family. Just kidding. The comedian is a sweet Delhi boy who does what he is expected to – hold a respectable job (he has one in retail) and make people laugh when needed (his secret profession). His razor sharp wit and candid humor lead him to win almost every open-mic he has ever participated in (yes, he is that good), including the Big Mic, Canvas Laugh Club, Chalta Hai and Buzz Off. So good that he opened for the world famous comic Russell Brand on his Indian tour. His favorite topics to talk about on stage are Jaat culture, people who buy Royal Enfields and poverty (mostly his own), a variety that makes the Indian audiences fall in love with him. And with his recent spelling change (Kapur to Kapoor), he has got all the validation he needs, and is ready to take over the world.
As one of the best performers on Amazon Prime Video's comedy hunt, Comicstaan, Rahul Dua is one of the brightest young comics in the country today! Talk about an average human being and Rahul fits the bill just right, barring a win at Comedy Central’s Chuckle Hunt, NDTV’s Rising Stars of Comedy 2016, Host at NDTV’s Chuppa Rustam and Actor at Hyundai’s Grandi10 digital campaign. He manages to be insecure, under- confident and loud at the same time. His jokes are as bad as his financial state of affairs and comedy career as unsuccessful as his Engineering and MBA stints. He exploits his life, family and failed relationships for jokes (or lack thereof). He likes Mango Shake and Harlem Shake.
With a grandeur that resembles Salman Khan and a mother wishing for her son to get married (also like Sallu bhai), Jeeveshu Ahluwalia’s comedy brings out the fat Punjabi guy’s perspective on everything that surrounds him. Jeeveshu’s quick wit and knock out punchlines have saved him from many disasters, apart from making sellout venues laugh till their faces hurt. Think his face looks familiar? The comedian made his Bollywood debut with the Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone-starrer Tamasha, and has appeared in TV commercials for Comedy Central India, Phillips, Apollo Hospitals, ICICI Prudential and Grofers. Winner of Radio Mirchi's Comedy Ka King 2014, the comedian has done over 1500 shows, and has performed in countries like Singapore, Dubai, Doha, Thailand, Philippines and Malaysia.
Gaurav Gupta is a Delhi based-stand up comic who loves saving, and he's here to change that! He is a dentist by profession and a comic by recession who came into limelight when in 2017, his stand-up video titled 'Being Baniya' which he performed in New Delhi's Akshara Theater went viral. His recent special on Amazon Prime 'Market Down Hai' is a one hour hilarious, relatable ride about his way of life!
Ever seen a middle-aged, domesticated man prophecise marriage? Amit Tandon is the new age marriage advocate who makes the messy parts sound fun, and the good parts sound like they are too good to be true. This ‘Married Guy’ of the Indian comedy scene has touched base across three continents, with over 700 shows and three Pan-India tours under his belt. Tandon was a runner up at CEOs Got Talent, which was telecasted on CNBC TV 18, and is a multi-tasker of the first order. The comedian hosts a weekly show on Radio City 91.1 and is also the founder of Grandmasters of Comedy, a company focused on bringing comedy to the corporate world.
Originally hailing from Junagadh in Gujarat and now touring the country to win hearts, Munawar Faruqui is one of India's finest stand-up comedians. Also, a rapper. If you follow the comedy circuit scene, you've pretty much always heard his name doing the rounds. Even more so after he won Season 01 of the reality tv-show 'Lock Upp'. He's well known for his content, be it on Youtube or LIVE ON TOUR. If you want to hear all the hilarious stories THAT YOU’VE NOT HEARD YET. About his friends (who may sound a lot like your friends), his childhood, “those few months”, Bollywood, social media, doing reality tv, and dealing with what follows - CATCH HIM LIVE AT HIS NEXT SHOW. Get your tickets now!
Comedian and screenwriter, Himachal-born Varun Grover is known for writing the film Masaan, and his lyrical capabilities in popular films like Gangs of Wasseypur (Parts 1 & 2), Udta Punjab, That Girl in Yellow Boots, Dum Laga Ke Haisha. He won the National Award in 2015 for his lyrics in "Moh Moh Ke Dhaage". Known for his sharp wit and political musings, Grover is one part of the music-comedy-political satire trio, Aisi Taisi Democracy, along with Rahul Ram and Sanjay Rajoura. ATD is a mixed bag of personal stories, talks about various issues like border relations, elections, politics, et al, and dares to ask some uncomfortable questions while keeping you in splits throughout.
Can businessmen be funny? Yes. Meet Atul Khatri, a middle-aged businessman-turned-comedian who now makes a living making people laugh harder than they ever have. A former member of one of the country's leading comedy collectives, East India Comedy, Atul has often been spotted on their YouTube series like EIC Outrage, and specials such as EIC vs Bollywood. Bringing his 40+-year-old perspective with every show, he performs regularly at comedy clubs and does private shows in India and abroad. The comedian has showcased his skills at the prestigious Utrecht International Comedy Festival in the Netherlands and Belgium, and at the 8th Annual Hong Kong International Comedy Festival in 2014. CNN-IBN recently rated him as one of the Top 20 Comedians in India to Watch Out For, post winning the competition CEOs Got Talent.
