Let's time travel to experience the legacy of one of the India's most ancient & prosperous kingdoms of Vijayanagara - The Hampi :)
Words cannot explain the wonder that is Hampi, so let's experience in our own Muddie way! While we revel in the history, we are gonna stay very close to the river at our cozy homestay which is stone throw distance from famous cafe "Old Chill Out". What more? social hours in the night, a dip at the lake (probably cliff jumping with life-jacket if we get a permit and proper water level)...all of them to quench your thirst for an exciting weekend!
The beautiful sunrise & sunset are just icing on the cake ;-)
They do not take travellers to a tourist place unless it is required as a 'filler' in the itinerary between two offbeat places. Travellers are requested to refrain from asking the organizers to take them to ABC temple or XYZ church. The itinerary is already decided and posted based on their offbeat theme. The organizer will only change the itinerary if any place cannot be visited because of unpredictable reasons. If you have a wish list of tourist places to tick off in your mind, then probably Muddie Trails is not for you and hence they kindy request you to not register.
Start from Bangalore around 9 PM (4 pick up points - Tin Factory, Indiranagar, Koramangala, Guraguntepalya metro station)
Day 1 - Saturday
Reach Hampi campsite, freshen up & breakfast, start the Heritage Walk along the banks of the river Tungabhadra towards the monuments/temples like Varaha temple, Sule Bazar, the magnificent Vittal temple etc. Break for lunch in the middle. Visit Virupaksha temple and have a nice sunset view at Virupaksha hill. Come back to campsite, freshen up, dinner & a social gathering at night
Day 2 - Sunday
Start the day little late, breakfast, enjoy the cool breeze of the pristine Sanapur Lake - take a dip if you wish to (Muddie Trails will provide few life jackets), go on a coracle ride on the lake (optional - self sponsored), take lots of selfies, relax and rejuvenate .
Drive to the base of the Anjanadri hill (Hanuman's birthplace) & hike up the hill on the northern banks of Tungabhadra river, relax & enjoy the amazing sunset, get back to campsite late in the evening, enjoy hot dinner & another party on the Christmas eve before retiring for night
Day 3 - Christmas day - Monday
Wake up late, check-out of campsite, breakfast, drive to Anegundi (the kingdom of monkeys as it's called) and/or Thungabadra dam (optional) & start back to Bangalore after self-sponsored lunch. Reach Bangalore by night. Drop at same points as the pick-up. In case we get late (after 11 PM), you will be dropped at your doorstep by our vehicle or Muddie Trails' organizer if you are a single girl.
2-Days/2-Nights accommodation at our campsite in a beautiful location on a 3 or 4 sharing basis (sleep in tents at night with sleeping bag per person)
3 days breakfast, 2 nights Dinner
Expert guide on 1st day for heritage walk
Two organizers from MT to look after all the activities and a hell lot of entertainment!!!
Shades/cap/sunscreen
Full charge mobiles with power banks - to take lot of selfies!
Selfie stick or DSLR if you are interested - the mountains & the lake are extremely beautiful.
Small first aid kit if you have and your medications if any
Odomos for insects & mosquitoes
Important: Polythene covers to put used/wet clothes
An extra polythene cover to dispose of your trash during trek - this is important, as Muddie Trails has a no littering policy
Carry a little bit of cash - not too much.
Don't carry expensive items
A photo ID card xerox- like Aadhar and driving license
A lightweight backpack, lightweight clothes for the little humid climate out there & comfortable shoes/sandals - anything is fine as they don't have any trek to do.
Carry your jerkin - it can get cold at night as it might rain
A bluetooth speaker, pen-drive with some music
Expect the unexpected in case of wild forests like the sudden closing of trek path by govt./forest department (because of wild animal sighting/ landslide/ some crime), in which case they may have to cancel the trek (This is very rare and has never happened till now). In this case, the organizer will plan for an alternate trek/trip. If this is not possible, then Muddie Trails will refund the remaining amount of removing the travel cost.
Avoid discussing sensitive matters like sex, politics, religion and race.
Using foul or abusive language or arguing with fellow travellers/ organizer will not be accepted and will stand a chance of being deserted by the travel group.
50% refund within 3 days and before 24 hours from meetup start time.

Expect congestion in the City on Friday night while leaving Bangalore. Also expect congestion first morning for washrooms while freshening up. "Be Patient" is the mantra!
This is an offbeat meetup at an offbeat place. The facilities will be very basic as Gandikota is a proper village without any infrastructure. But the experience would be amazing, with our group, celebrating new year very differently. If you feel you cannot adjust without hotel/change rooms or private bathrooms, then we request you please do not register.
Muddie Trails is NOT a tour operator. Muddie Trails is an offbeat travel experience provider. Our itinerary is flexible. Organizer may choose to switch/re-arrange parts of itinerary based on need. Please co-operate with organizer & other travelers.
