Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Kotgaon
- Morning: Pick up from Grand Legacy Hotel, Dehradun at 6:30 AM or Library Chowk, Mussourie at 7:30 AM.
- Drive: Enjoy a scenic 9-10 hour drive covering 196 km to Kotgaon, your basecamp for the trek.
- Transport Cost: Rs. 7,000 per SUV (shared among 5-6 trekkers) or Rs. 11,000 for Tempo Traveller (shared among 11-12 trekkers).
- Evening: Arrive at Kotgaon and settle into your comfortable basecamp.
Day 2: Kotgaon to Dhatmeer, Trek to Gangaad
- Morning: Drive from Kotgaon to Dhatmeer (1.5 to 2 hours).
- Trek: Start your trek from Dhatmeer to Gangaad, covering 6 km in about 5 hours.
- Altitude Gain: From 6,455 ft to 8,250 ft and then to 7,667 ft.
- Evening: Set up camp at Gangaad and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Day 3: Gangaad to Kalkatiyadhar via Osla
- Morning: Trek from Gangaad to Kalkatiyadhar, passing through Osla. The trek distance is 8 km and takes about 6 hours.
- Altitude Gain: From 7,667 ft to 10,032 ft.
- Evening: Arrive at Kalkatiyadhar, set up camp, and relax after the trek.
Day 4: Kalkatiyadhar to Boslo via Har Ki Dun
- Morning: Trek from Kalkatiyadhar to Boslo, crossing Har Ki Dun. This 9 km trek takes 5-6 hours.
- Altitude Gain and Loss: From 10,032 ft to 10,760 ft, via 11,600 ft.
- Evening: Camp at Boslo and enjoy the breathtaking views of the valley.
Day 5: Boslo to Chillurgad
- Morning: Trek from Boslo to Chillurgad, covering 5.5 km in about 5 hours.
- Altitude Loss: From 10,760 ft to 9,930 ft.
- Evening: Arrive at Chillurgad, set up camp, and unwind after the day’s trek.
Day 6: Chillurgad to Kotgaon via Dhatmeer
- Morning: Begin your trek from Chillurgad back to Dhatmeer, covering 14 km in 6-7 hours.
- Altitude Loss: From 9,930 ft to 7,825 ft.
- Drive: Drive back to Kotgaon from Dhatmeer.
- Evening: Arrive at Kotgaon, settle into your accommodation, and relax.
Day 7: Drive from Kotgaon to Dehradun
- Morning: Depart from Kotgaon and drive back to Dehradun (9-10 hours, 196 km).
- Altitude Loss: From 7,825 ft to 6,455 ft.
- Evening: Arrive in Dehradun, concluding your memorable trek.

Know Before Visit
- Fitness Level: This trek is classified as easy to moderate. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended, but no prior trekking experience is necessary.
- Weather Conditions: Prepare for variable weather. During the day, temperatures range from 10℃ to 15℃, while nights can be quite cold, ranging from 2℃ to -5℃. Pack accordingly with warm clothes and layers.
- Best Time to Visit: For the best experience, plan your trek between April to Mid-June and October to Mid-November. These seasons offer favorable weather and beautiful scenery.
- Permits Required: Ensure you have the necessary permits to enter the Govind Pashu Vihar National Park. Triptoo will assist with the permits as part of the package.
- Health Precautions: Carry any personal medications and inform your guide of any medical conditions. The trek involves moderate physical activity, so it’s important to be in good health.
- ATM Access: The last ATM before the trek starts is in Purola. Make sure to withdraw sufficient cash as there are no ATMs in the trek region.
