Somewhere between the bottom of the climb and the summit is the answer to the mystery why HikerWolf loves to climb. Daunting snow-capped mountains of Himalayas, the scenic view from Brahmatal will definitely convince you to settle in Uttrakhand. Let’s embark on a journey together to a place so close to our hearts and so beautiful for our IG feed.
Trekking comes naturally for HikerWolf. It’s in our name, Wink, Wink. It’s a fun activity that we deliver it with responsibility and all the support. We will motive you; engage you in games and party all the way from day 1.
We are equipped with a trek-squad, A special squad that is highly trained and experienced in trekking, inventing fun games and motivating fellow travelers to reach to the top (Hum honge Kamyab)
The physicality level of this trek is easy, which makes it an all-time favorite trek for those who are beginners. It’s the best way to capture a mental image of Himalayas.
Upon your arrival in Kathgodam’s early morning (report at 6:00 am), HikerWolf will pick you from the railway station or bus stand at 6:30 am and we will be traveling for 9 hours to reach Lohajung which is 225 Km away from Kathgodam.
By late afternoon, we will reach Lohajung where we will be staying at night in a guest house.
ATM: Dewal has the last ATM point before your trek begins. It’s advisable to withdraw money in Kathgodam itself
Day 2 – Lohajung to Bekaltal
Let the summit being but before that, some breakfast. We’ll commence the trip to Bekaltal.
En route, let your eyes enjoy some awe-inspiring views of Nandaghunti Peak.
Trek through the forests of oaks and firs. Conclude a 4-5 hours long trek to reach Bekaltal. The total distance you cover would be 8 KMs. We’ll stay in tents overnight.
Day 3 – Bekaltal to (Tilangi) Brahmatal
Enjoy the snow-covered pathways that lead us to Brahmatal. It will take around 4 hours to complete the trek. The trails go through a forest and when we reach Telindi top, behold the enchanting views of the mighty Himalayas. We’ll continue to walk to arrive at Brahmatal or Khabekhal Lake.
Day 4 – (Tilangi) Khabekhal to Daldum (Via) Brahmatal Peak
Right after breakfast, get ready to climb to the top of Brahmatal. Tread along the tricky pathways which go through Chota Jhandidar and Bada Jhandidar. This trail is encircled by a mountain ridge with valleys on both sides. You will take 2.5 hours to reach Brahmatal Top.
On this journey, revel in the glimpses of magnificent Himalayan Ranges. Mt. Trishul is very close along with the views of Nandhaghunti. From the top, you can revel in the exotic views of snow-covered Himalayan Ranges.
Proceed to the next campsite in Daldum and the trek will take up to 3 hours to finish. You will be covering 2.7 KM of distance in this trek today. Again, forests will be accompanying you through these trekking trails.
Day 5 – Brahmatal (Daldum) to Lohajung
Today, you will trail back to Lohajung along the same path you took to reach Brahmatal. Once you reach here, check-in to your guest house and take rest. After we will explore the beautiful Mundoli village near Lohajung and visit a nearby museum or play cricket. The night would be lit with Campfire, Dance, and Music. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 6 – Lohajung to Kathgodam
Conclude the trek and depart to Kathgodam early morning to reach there by evening.
But, you can plan how to spend the day fruitfully on your own, be it sightseeing or shopping, Kathgodam will not disappoint you. Trip ends here. Trippers can make their bookings to their respective hometowns post 10:00 pm.
HOW TO REACH KATHGODAM
The whole group needs to reach Kathgodam station at the latest by 6:30 am.
Kathgodam/Haldwani is easily reached from New Delhi by Train or Bus (~6-8 hours) and is around 270Km.
By air – You can take flight from Delhi to Pantnagar airport which is around 32 km from Kathgodam. You will easily get a taxi from there to Kathgodam.
By Train
RANIKHET EXP – Train No. 15013 (best option, runs overnight, arrives KGM early morning @ 5 am. Board from Delhi(DLI)/Old Delhi Junction station)
UTR SAMPRK K EX – Uttaranchal Sampark Kranti Express – Train No. 15035 (a good option when you stay the night @ Kathgodam and travel next morning)
ANVT KGM SHT – Anand Vihar Kathgodam Shatabdi Express – Train No. 12040 (Arrives KGM in the morning @ 11:40 am, alternate choice when you stay the night in Kathgodam and meet us next morning at 6:00 am)
By taxi – Charges depend upon the service provider and of course your bargaining skills
And the magical journey begins, The mountains are calling and we must go, Upon arrival, we’ll leave for Lohajung at 6:30 am which is approx 8-9 hrs away from Kathgodam (225 KM away). We’re sure you will be mesmerized by the scenic beauty you would see en route. The road trip form Kathdgodam to Lohajung is the most beautiful one. You will enjoy the most on this trip. Get to know your fellow travelers and make new friends.
We’ll rest at night at the guest house and prepare ourselves for the next day.

Day 2
Pump up yourselves with some amazing breakfast to begin the most scenic summit. We’ll head towards Bekaltal. The whole route is so surreal. You don’t get the chance to trek around pine and fir trees, which is as huge as any building in our cities. The time were you quit on the city life for a while and dwell in nature. To accompany the view, we’ll also get a chance to glance at Nandaghunti Peak.
We’ll trek for 5 hrs and the distance covered would be for 8 km.
We’ll stay in tents overnight. Just some illuminated tents and silence. All around you would be trees and a million stars twinkling for you. We’ll light up a bonfire to keep you all warm and share ghost stories to scare you all of. We’ll have a wholesome meal and take rest to climb up Brahmatal the next day.
Day 3
After having amazing breakfast, we’ll freshen-up and leave for Brahmatal. The route is all covered in snow. Make snow angels if you dare. The cold weather and snow will make you feel as if you’re in a pretty winter wonderland.
It would take us 4 hrs to complete the trek. The trails go through a forest and when you reach Telindi top, behold the enchanting views of the mighty Himalayas. We’ll continue to walk to arrive at Brahmatal or Khabekhal Lake. We’ll disperse for the night and again sleep in tents. With the same setting of silence, serenity and cold air around you. We’ll light up a bonfire and have some dinner to fill our empty stomachs so that we are all ready to dance and sing-along.
We’ll call it a night once all of us have had enough fun and made memories. <3

Right after breakfast, get ready to climb to the top of Brahmatal. We promise you all the most beautiful peak you have ever seen. Tread along the tricky pathways which go through Chota Jhandidar and Bada Jhandidar. This trail is encircled by a mountain ridge with valleys on both sides. We’ll keep the HikerWolf’s tradition alive and fire up some woods and dance around in a circle. Have some amazing dinner and relax by looking up in the sky. A sky filled with millions of dreams and stars. Our cities surely are missing this out.
Day 5
Today, you will trail back to Lohajung along the same path you took to reach Brahmatal. You once again get the chance to capture all the beauty in one frame. Have a snow fight in between, make angles and just enjoy your way down with all your new friends. Friends you make here will be the most special friends you’ll make. Once we reach here, check-in to our guest house.
After lunch, we will visit the beautiful Mundoli village and get the taste of pure Himalayan village life. Embroil with the local villagers and learn a lot about the tradition and history of the divine place. Also, visit a nearby museum or have your time spend playing cricket in the nearby ground. At night we’ll reach the guest house. And it will be the to the lit light with Campfire, Music, and Dance.
Day 6
The day we all say goodbye 🙁 Our trip and an amazing trek comes to an end. We’ll depart to Kathgodam early in the morning to reach there by evening.

By the end, we’ll have all the photos and memories of each other. And have a memorable trip where a strange place like BARAHMATAL and other strangers will be there with you eternal. IMPORTANT NOTE:
Keep your bag as light as possible. Make sure it is not more than 3-4 kgs Do not carry any valuables. Please take care of it in case you are carrying the same. We will not be responsible if you lose them by any chance.
• The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 30 minutes without stress.
• The climber should be able to carry a 10-15 kg backpack.
• Heart problems, high blood pressure, asthma, and epilepsy cannot be reconciled on this mission. The climber must not have the mentioned conditions.
