The Kings is a Mumbai-based dance performance group and professional learning academy founded by Suresh Mukund. Suresh was recently a judge on the highly acclaimed Dance+ on Star Plus, and is the first Indian to be nominated for the Emmys for choreography.

About The Kings Dance Studio

The learning centre was started in 2015. It has seen over 10,000 dance enthusiasts across its various certificate courses and workshops at their Vasai and Andheri academies. The Kings have travelled extensively across India and the world to hold very successful workshops. They have an international branch in Muscat, Oman as well.

The uniquely and specially designed learning techniques are taught by World Champion trainers who each hold over 10 years of experience.

The Dance Studio is known for its Professional Training Programs - spread over 3 months which cover the length and breadth of knowledge, practice and areas to help aspirants build a strong base in dance, including for those who wish to teach or perform professionally.

The styles include Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Urban, Bollywood, Zumba.

The academy turned a new leaf by opening India’s biggest dance learning centre in Andheri in 2019. It has 3 dance studios, a lounge, an exclusive space and amenities spread over 4000 sq ft.

About The Kings

From humble beginnings as a troupe performing at local shows in Vasai, Mumbai, the talented bunch of hip hop enthusiasts went on to become the first Indian group to win a medal at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship in California in 2012. This was after winning several Dance TV contests such as India's Got Talent and Boogie Woogie.

The crowning glory of the performing crew was in 2019 when they won the biggest dance contest in the world - NBC’s World of Dance judged by Jennifer Lopez.

Their journey inspired the movie, ABCD 2 starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, and directed by Remo D’Souza.

The Kings are known for their audacious and fascinating theatrical live acts. They have performed at events such IIFA, IPL, Filmfare.
