Time to get in festive mood this Holi.
We bring to you a blend of "The traditional" and "Mapping Journeys" way of celebrating Holi at our very own "Moksh Mantra" campsite.
Last year,
It took us 3 days just to clean the campsite after the Holi event.
We painted the pool RED
The bonfire was a brilliant YELLOW
The tents, well they were all MULTI COLOURED
The fun was doubled with BOLLYWOOD TADKA
This year we are taking the celebrations a step further.
What you can expect?
.Unlimited Thandai and Bhajiya.
.Traditional Raigad special cuisine called POPTI.
.More organic colours just like last time.
.Rain dance.
.Pool.
.Even bigger HOLI DAHAN BONFIRE.
About the Venue:
Two hours from Mumbai, the Moksh Mantra campsite is located in Varsai area off Khopoli- Pen road. Nestled among hills, with acres of green plains spread around and a view of the mighty Manikgad, it is a site for a comfortable yet raw camping experience. With no unwanted vehicle sound it is the perfect excuse to reconnect with your travel-buddies and yourself!
Holika Dahan:
Holika Dahan is celebrated by burning Holika, the devil. Holi celebrates the death of Holika in order to save Prahlad by Vishnu, and thus Holi gets its name. In olden days, people use to contribute a piece of wood or two for the Holika bonfire.
We will do the same but merge the "Holika Dahan" and our "Campfire" together. You will be adding your own "DEVIL'S" woods collected from around the campsite to add to the Holika.
Together we will be also preparing our own "effigy" (which signifies Holika who tricked Prahalad into the fire) using waste materials and some creative brains of each other. The effigy is basically a sculpture or model of a person which is kept on top of the woods to be burnt.
After the Dahan activity, free time.
Day 2:Mapping Ishtyle!
